Continuing with the theme from last week here is another mix that was done during the covid 19 lockdown. Again, some of our neighbors were present when I recorded these sets. Last week's mix was mainly mid tempo edits but with this one I picked up the pace with proper house. Since I'm lazy, the majority of the these tracks come from my Toolroom and Salted Music playlists. It's tracks that I get as promos from these labels and most of them are out now so make sure to look for them at your favorite digital store. Enjoy.

Welcome to a very special episode of the NDYD Radio Show. It seems the listeners REALLY like it when I play house flavor edits so why not make an episode of two of my favorite edit master producers from the UK. Fingerman and The Reflex. These two kats have shaped my sound and sets over the years. They edit my favorite tracks when I was in high school and college. Not just edit them (ie: rip them off vinyl en recut them)but actually re-edit the songs from the original stems. This def doesn't make them bedroom producers with a laptop and Ableton but real talented pro artists. To be honest the only real winner in this vs 'battle' is me as I get to enjoy playing their work. I absolutely love these two guys. This set is a tribute to them and you get to hear them B2B. One track is Fingerman and the next is The Reflex and so on.

Ricardo Torres is a West Coast DJ whose sound blends deep, soulful house and disco with the smooth, sun-kissed energy of Los Angeles. His mixes are crafted for true dance floor devotees—uplifting, groovy, and deeply rooted in the underground.

Ricardo began his DJ journey in 1987 at a college radio station in Montreal, later discovering Chicago House and falling in love with its raw emotion and rhythm. After moving to Los Angeles in 1995, he found inspiration in the city’s soulful spirit and from influential DJs like Jay-J, Marques Wyatt, Julius Papp, Mark Farina, and Miguel Migs.

An early pioneer of online mix sharing in 2000, Ricardo quickly gained international recognition, leading to global performances and radio syndication. In 2016, he partnered with Germany’s Nu Disco Your Disco (NDYD) to launch the NDYD Radio Show, a weekly showcase of modern Nu Disco and soulful house that continues to attract a devoted worldwide audience.

Across decades and evolving trends, Ricardo’s mission remains the same: to share music that uplifts, connects, and celebrates the enduring groove of house.
