First set for 2023! and so far it's my best of the year ha ha. All jokes aside I am really happy how this live recording from Station 1640 turned out. I got to play my favorite genres and bring energy to the dance floor on this first day of 2023. Day parties are really turning out to be my favorite. Maybe it has something to do with getting older. I also found out what this day drinking craze is all about. Quality tequila works in the daytime too ;) So does quality House Music and this first (live) episode of the year is full of it. I had so much fun playing and starting the year doing my favorite thing in the world.  Hoping you will also enjoy the music as much as the heads on the dance floor did.

Evil Smarty is known for a string of respected productions and has released chart topping releases on a variety of labels including Midnight Riot, Disco Fruit, Masterworks Music and Wall of Fame. With worldwide support from tastemakers and DJ’s including the likes of David Morales, Greg Wilson and Late Nite Tuff Guy his dancefloor friendly tracks always hit the mark.

As a resident for Shade Disco, Evil Smarty has supported The Shapeshifters, Late Nite Tuff Guy, Dr Packer, Michael Gray, Hifi Sean and many more, show-casing his versatility and talent to keep hands in the air and bodies moving until the early hours. 

Along with Paul Groves, Evil Smarty is part of DJ duo and Club night Project Bango. What started out as a bit of fun and a desire to showcase some great music, rapidly morphed into an instant hit in their hometown of Guildford at late night venue “The Alley Bar”. Filling the venue each month and keeping everyone dancing into the early hours.

Welcome back to a new NDYD Radio episode. I am also back after missing the last two weeks because of my work obligations. A massive thank you to @finaldjs for taking over the show last week with an incredible set.

I am so glad to be back and do my favorite thing in the world which is to curate and blend some of the new deep house / house tracks that are floating out there.  On a related note, I was at the Meta main campus for the first time since working for them  in Menlo Park California this week. The place is amazing and the campus is almost as big as a small town with a square/downtown area where the cafeteria(s) are. I was pleasantly surprised that when I walked into the main cafeteria, the house sound system was playing rare remixes from artists like Armand Van Helden and other classic underground kats. I was like 'yeah, I made the right decision to work here' :)

Anyways, it inspired me and made me miss doing the radio show. Enjoy it as much as I did.

As @tonbe, one of the artists that is feature in the current show, says 'It's a House Thing' and this episode is jam packed of that thing. Lots a new music and promos that keep the tempo grooving at that sweet spot. There was a bunch of @saltedmusic new promos that that I had missed cause I was so busy with, life. I included at least 3 new tracks that are coming out soon on that label and a re-polishing from the head honcho of Salted himself, @miguelmigs1, of one of his tracks from the vault. Back this week with an episode that is nothing but DEEP. I even dusted off some old vinyl from Jay Denes who was the original label boss of the legendary Naked Music label out of San Francisco. This track by Jay was one of the early releases on Naked Music back in 2002 with a young talented singer at the time that you might recognize ;) Her sultry and familiar voice hasn't changed since those days and this was before she blew up in the scene and became a staple of this label. Let's see if you can guess who that is as this Denes' classic closes this show.
