Ketrab – DJ, Producer, and Label Owner

Ketrab, the artistic moniker of Bartosz Czechowski, is a DJ, music producer, and label owner hailing from Wrocław, Poland. His deep-rooted passion for UK Acid Techno and Hard Techno has shaped his career since its beginnings in 2002. Known among friends as "Siwy," Ketrab initially developed his craft in Wrocław's underground scene, spinning records at clubs such as Wagon, Intro, Samo Życie, and Absurd.

In 2005, Ketrab moved to Bristol, UK, where he quickly immersed himself in the city's vibrant techno scene. He organized free parties and performed at legendary venues like Lakota, The Black Swan, Blue Mountain, and Jack of Diamonds. During this time, Ketrab had the opportunity to perform alongside techno heavyweights such as Dave the Drummer, DDR, and Geezer, solidifying his position in the underground music scene.

After taking a six-year break from performing and organizing events, Ketrab returned to the decks in 2018, joining forces with the Zlotek collective. The collective reignited his passion for organizing and performing until the COVID-19 pandemic put a temporary stop to live events.

Not one to stay idle, in 2020 Ketrab began learning music production, and by early 2022, he launched his own digital record label, Nota Fortis Records. The label is dedicated to hard, acid-driven techno, and Ketrab has already released three EPs under its banner: Raveolution Has to Happen, Inner Rage, and In the Face of Madness. These releases showcase his ability to blend fast, aggressive beats with acid-infused techno elements, establishing his unique sound in the techno world. His work continues to expand, with more unreleased music in the pipeline.

In addition to his releases on Nota Fortis Records, Ketrab has also put out music on respected labels like Refined Format and Breslau Techno, gaining international recognition. His DJ sets, known for their relentless energy and hard-edged acid techno, feature not only tracks from global artists but also his own productions, creating a unique and powerful experience on the dancefloor.

With a growing catalog of releases and a reputation for delivering high-energy performances, Ketrab is steadily carving out his place in the global techno scene. You can find his music on platforms like Beatport, Juno Download, and Bandcamp, where he continues to push the boundaries of hard acid techno.
