Staring at the Sun

The clouds look like reptilian scales.
Beyond that the sky provides us with the silent treatment.  No moon is a new moon.
Grey waves, grey forms, grey matter.
The airwaves are scrambled, creating static and overlap.

This track was made on hardware using an Akai MPC2000XL Ensoniq ASR-X, and an E-Mu XL-7.

Here is the first single "Body Signals" from our upcoming 7 track release "Triggers". These tracks are yet a further deviation from our first self-titled EP. This new release is a deeper exploration into sound-sculpting and pattern making, utilizing analog and digital machines linked through control voltage, MIDI, and personal computers, whose creation dates span almost half a century. Coveted Vices

During the making of Triggers circa 2015, when Rene was on his way to LA, I had a handful of tracks that didn't make the cut for whatever reason (too rough, didn't totally fit as Nearest or for Triggers). Since being diagnosed with cancer, I haven't been able to work on much music, and much of the equipment (namely hardware sequencers) used to make this track either died or lost their data. So chances are this track will never go beyond what it is, so enjoy it for what it is!

Fallen (Triggers outtake 2015)

NEAREST is an accumulation of lost feelings, reflections, and passions previously buried and forgotten throughout the years. The duo consists of Casey Grabowski and René Alpha from Philadelphia, PA / Wilmington, DE. Their music is a fusion of cold vocals, pulsating beats, and layered synthesizers reminiscent of underground music from the late 70's and mid 80's.
