I wanted to show some love to the king of Cyberpunk, EXTRA TERRA, so I dedicated one of my live sets to him. I only had an hour, so I could only squeeze in 29 of his tracks, but he has so many more bangers that I couldn't fit in. The tracks in this mix are his Midtempo ones, so the BPM range is between 100-114BPM. If the mix seems rushed in some places, that's because my time was limited, but I hope you enjoy it either way.

This series is made not for the raging dance floor but for chilling with friends, starting off an epic day, or just on a really dope sound system or headphones. These mixes are comprised of current tracks I have gathered and also some classic tracks from the last couple decades. All of the tracks I believe in completely. I like the challenge of mixing different genres and styles into a complete 90 minute aural pleasure field. I put a lot of thought, time, and emotion into gathering these tracks, figuring out how to put them together, and mixing them into the final mix. It is a creative and sometimes difficult process but it is so rewarding to complete it and post for others to enjoy. This mix is truly a window into me and into a sampling of the tracks I love. One <3 to all of the artists, composers, producers, remixers, dreamers, and visionaries who created these tracks. Eddie Money - Take Me Home Tonight

Eddie Money was born Edward Joseph Mahoney on March 21, 1949, in Brooklyn, New York. Although he dreamed of being a musician, after high school, Eddie decided to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a police officer.

In 1968, after serving as a New York City Police Officer for two years, Money put his law enforcement career on hold to pursue music. He moved to Berkeley, California and began performing at local clubs. Then, in 1976, after changing his surname from Mahoney to Money, Eddie’s fate changed when he was introduced to legendary promoter Bill Graham while performing at one of Graham’s events. The two quickly became close, with Graham serving as both a mentor and manager to Money. Said Graham of Money, “Eddie Money has it all…not only can he sing, write and play, but he is a natural performer.”

After signing a recording contract with Columbia Records, Money burst onto the scene with his eponymous debut album in 1977. Fans immediately fell in love with Money’s sound, and the album, which went double platinum, featured hits like “Baby Hold On” and “Two Tickets to Paradise.” Money followed the success of his debut album with a stream of Top 40 hits, as well as some of the era’s most creative videos for songs like “Think I’m in Love” and “Shakin.” In 1986, Money released Can’t Hold Back, which featured the classic, Grammy-Nominated duet with Ronnie Spector, “Take Me Home Tonight.” The song reached number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album went platinum and also featured the hit “I Wanna Go Back.”

These days, Money continues to delight new and old fans alike at venues throughout the country. Having opened the summer concert season at the famous DTE Energy Music Theatre in Detroit for nearly 20 years, Money draws fans from all over who are eager to see the legendary musician. Ask any concert attendee and they’ll tell you he retains his signature style and performs with the same passion today as he did more than 30 years ago.

In addition to maintaining a busy touring schedule, Money has featured on hit television shows like “The King of Queens,” where he performed for his good friend Kevin James, and “The Drew Carey Show,” where he played Mimi’s ex-husband.

In recent years, Eddie has been joined on tour by his daughter, Jesse Money. Jesse, who was on MTV’s “Rock The Cradle,” is a talented and charismatic vocalist who has chosen to follow in her father’s footsteps. While on tour with Eddie, Jesse sings back-up vocals and adds an exciting twist to the duet “Take Me Home Tonight.” Eddie and his wife Laurie also have four sons – Zachary, Joseph, Desmond, and Julian.

As the years have passed, Money’s blue-collar brand of Rock n Roll has managed to transcend generations and continues to move audiences today. Along with having sold more than 28 million records, Money’s songs have appeared in dozens of movies and television shows, and have recently been included in hit video games like “Grand Theft Auto” and “Guitar Hero.”

To celebrate, they’ve opened the vault for a handpicked group of artists from the label’s 20-year history. Each artist will sift through thousands of hours of music to create a definitive, mix of their all-time favourite Anjunabeats releases. 

On 20 August, ilan Bluestone delivers the seventh mix in the series. 

“Ilan appeared in our studio one day in 2012 when Maor Levi was working with us in London. He’d popped in to see how Maor worked and to say hi. Ilan was a cheery, confident chap and Maor really rated him as a producer and invited him to submit a track for the Anjunabeats Worldwide compilation he was putting together. That track was “Namaste”, his debut track on Anjunabeats. What followed was a nearly constant stream of melodic, powerful and well-produced tracks and remixes that became fixtures in our sets, some remixes being preferred to our own mixes at times. At least one of his productions appears in pretty much every Above & Beyond DJ set.

He went on to mix his own comp, Anjunabeats Worldwide 05 in 2015, and continued to write and record so many hit tunes (“Sinai”, “Big Ben”, “43”, “Spheres” and his new tracks with Elysian, to name but a few bangers) before releasing his first artist album, ‘Scars’, in 2018.
Over the same period his friendship with Maor Levi resulted in a slew of banging tunes and remixes such as “On Our Own”, “Can You” and “Everybody”, and he collaborated with Jerome Isma-Ae with equally fabulous results: “Tension” & “Under My Skin” are both classics. By this time his live career had really taken off and he was always in demand as a remixer for other labels. He delivered a blistering set at ABGT300 in Hong Kong the same year.

In 2020 he finally put a ring on Maor Levi with the launch of trance supergroup Elysian (with vocalist Emma Hewitt), and started work on his second album with long-term collaborators Giuseppe De Luca, EL Waves, Ellen Smith.
His 20 year mix contains a hefty chunk of his own productions, as it should, alongside an eclectic mix of personal favourites, from Tinlicker to Seven Lions and Daniel Kandi. Enjoy!”
