The Disco Police is well known for their extensive editing career where they perfected the techniques needed to maximize the dance floor dynamics of a song whilst adhering to its original spirit. 
Their version of disco house music is a rich, percussive concoction, taking in their musical traditions as well as their beloved Chicago house, and blending elements of funk soul, jazz and disco into rich rhythmic collages, all held down by adept production touches.

Hard to believe it’s been 3 years since Jungle Fire first graced the RNT Catalog, and now the west coast boys of summer are back with a 5-track remix EP of varied Latin soul funk vibes, reimagined by a stellar cast of remixers.

On the A-side, Colombian juggernaut Felipe Gordon takes Atómico fully nuclear with a stomping bass-heavy house remix, and JKriv goes elektrik with his Elektrikossa dub that sprinkles dubbed out and acid elements over a pulsating rubbery groove.

On the flip, turntablist Nu-Mark delivers a punchy breakbeat take on Atómico, Jungle Fire member Patrick Bailey goes full-on boogie vibes with his Snake In Da Bronx Dub of La Kossa, and the record winds down with the dubby halftime flavor of Samual Miles remix of Biri Biri. V’s Edits was everywhere when I started shopping on Juno Download. Behind the enigmatic moniker I found an accomplished musician, arranger and electronic wizard that is Valentine Golovachev. He was one of the very first artists I featured on this blog and I have had the pleasure of interviewing him under the most difficult setup I have tried yet, with great delays and tribulations on a platform that was new at that point, called Telegram. What a pain that was. Valentine handled it like the boss he is. 
He’s let me know, that this track probably is the last disco influenced rework under the V’s moniker. If that proves true this is truly a legendary offering even more so.
