If the Gear turns, joining pieces, producing movement and celebration,
Machine in the Rain is the moment when the gear falls apart.
The sound still pulses, but it is wet with memory, rusted with absence.

While the Gear is a collective celebration,
Machine in the Rain is intimate solitude.
A body that was a machine and is now skin,
a beat that was born in iron but bleeds in the heart.

It rains on it, and from me, music is born.

Not from the friction of the working parts,
but from the silence between one failure and another, from the glitch that insists on repeating itself,
from the love that died.

Machine in the Rain is this:
a broken portrait,
the memory of an engine, which is
in the rain.
