The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Vlimmer. The Berlin-based solo project delivers his debut album on Blackjack Illuminist Records, out September 24th on Bandcamp. Today we present "Ad Astra", the 4th single from Vlimmer's dystopian 'Nebenkörper' LP. The track is drum-heavy, splattering industrial track with a note of sawing shoegaze. "Ad Astra" is about making a risky decision and not knowing whether it's improving conditions or causing serious consequences and damages.

Discovered him on HOR last May, I remember I was having friends over, we were playing HOR in the background until Elias took over the infamous bathroom. I was so hypnotised by his textured techno that I stood up the whole time in front of my tv.

Elias is actually one of my favourite selector and I am soooo gassed to have him on board.

The latest release by Glauben Records is Annika Wolfe’s EP 333 (GLR040). The trio of tracks by the California-based producer are heated dancefloor killers, a collection of acidic electro that demands attention. “The Art of Abduction Dark,'' the introductory track, holds a feverish energy as its high velocity catapults the EP into the atmospheric spaces of the club’s darkest corners. With domineering precision, Wolfe’s intent is made clear that their music is made for dancing.

“333,” a slightly less raucous track, focuses on the placement of sinewy synths as they swerve between the beat. Wolfe’s emphasis on the purity of rhythm—leaving space for each track to breathe—is the crucial element to the EP’s force. The builds, releases, and its layers that are intricately intertwined with one another leave no room for excess. 333’s final offering is “Mind Game,” an apt title for the electric track with its raw, undeniable inhibition as a melody runs over a grimy bassline. It's apparent that 333 is Wolfe’s most powerful yet: electro with a nasty groove, all dipped in a boiling vat of acid.

Next up on Made Of Concrete is an EP from a true label mainstay - part of the lifeblood of the label; Toni Dextor.

Currently based in Berlin - Dextor has also released a slew of releases on labels such as Planet Rhythm, Adroit and Sektor Evolution. 

Also included in the package is a remix from Zürich based Jelena - the branch between the two being her involvement with Adroit.

'The Focus' kicks things off with an urgent, wrought iron loop that hacks it's way through intensifying drums which build towards a mangled and mind-bending breakdown. The pressure doesn't let up as the tracks charges to it's conclusion, propelled by a kick as hefty as a mallet that keeps you trapped in a bit-crushed cage.

'R14' then follows up with a highly effective, capacious Techno track. With drums as thick as they come - panned, reverberated textures and a consistent stab are suffused with a metallic texture that provides a chilly but highly kinetic energy before Jelena's remix brings the record to a close.

Her interpretation sets shimmering subs create a buoyant bed for the track - the kick bounces off from it as another pupil-widening sequence wades in. An elongated breakdown reaches it's zenith before letting go in a manner guaranteed to send the floor into rapture.

Electric Rescue returns on his imprint with a four track EP recorded during this winter closure of clubs in France.

He went in the studio recording straight away, using his instinct and not overthinking the result. These are his ‘First Intentions’. ‘Postures Digitales’ and ‘Postures Sociales’ are two parts of the same story, people pretending on social media and the emptiness behind it. ‘Leaving Cities’ is a fresh walk in the countryside away from the digital pressure.
