Hidden proves again its strength in consistency and quality with another hard-hitting four-track EP by label boss, Deepak Sharma. 

The release is tough, gritty, dark and reflective of both the times we live and the artist involved: Deepak Sharma’s heavy, rolling and sobering originals are paired with a somber, powerful remix with subtle movements by Psyk.
Side B begins with Deep State, its intensity gripping immediately due to its lavish percussion, off-kilter leads and unrelenting rolling bass driving the masterly arrangement.  
The Fourth Branch marches an eerie minimalism into bass oblivion with an abundance of lush atmosphere and well timed changes.

Celebrating 10 years of existence with a statement, Berlin’s GEGEN is releasing a solid 3-part compilation, grounding their work of the past decade into the newly founded label’s sonic aesthetic by showcasing the artists that have been at the heart of the infamous party series. This VA is a bundle of 30 tracks hailing from the true ride-or-die residents at the core of the project to the headliners whose support have propelled the collective from day one as well as up-and-coming artists that Gegen takes to heart to support.

Curated with our love for techno’s history of diversity in mind, this release travels through different subgenres and BPM and takes you from classic techno to industrial, hardcore to breakbeat, deconstructed to acid. Whether you are up for an ethereal epic eerie journey (Ellen Allien, Femanyst), looking to get dirty in punk distortion (Hypnoskull, Bombardier), needing to release energy on some tense walkyrie anthems (Paula Temple, Espectra Negra, Ayako Mori), wanting to indulge in some raw hard hitters (Ayarcana, Tunnel, Esther Duijn), losing yourself in spacious hypnotic trips (Cristian Marras, La Fraicheur & Leonard de Leonard, Non Reversible, Lady Maru), craving from some groovy cuts (Bloody Mary, Mar/us, Years of Denial) or wishing for deconstructed and drums focused tracks (SKD, Scalameriya), you will find what you are looking for in this compilation that proudly represents the Gegen sound.

As one of Bergen, Norway’s most thrilling underground techno
weapons, Minus Magnus' sounds stands out for mixing
contemporary techno with 90s styled rave music. As a DJ and
producer, his take on techno resonates by combining the dirtiness
of analogue sounds with body hitting rhythms and euphoric
atmospheres.

The Warsaw-based DJ and producer deliver four energetic tracks in his brash and sophisticated signature style. The EP opens with the title track 'Rigorous', welcoming us with its brutally massaging kick drum complemented by a dystopian synth theme. Next on the list, 'Draco' is a soundtrack for reisefieber before journeying into the cosmic vacuum. 'Scrupulous' with its Detroit twang delivers a peak-time tool whether it's the beginning or end of the night. Stringent' continues its flight through analog arteries, flowing with high-octane synth sounds, leading to a finale that hides interpretations by Alarico and Cratan.
