"2020" is the electronic music project of the Iranian artist Amin Moeini, hailing from Fars Province in Southern Iran. Born on November 21, 1988, the artist Amin Moeini has always had a passionate interest in music, so at 13, he started to learn to play the xylophone for 1 year. After receiving his master's degree in physical education in 2015, he chose "2020" as his project's name representing his debut as a musician. It then took Amin - a self-taught musician - three years to produce and finally publish his first piece of music in 2018 which was initially met by DJ Shahar's support, the very same musician who played Amin's first single at the 2018 Boom Festival. He emigrated to Ukraine in late 2020 but for some reasons he had to move back to Iran again.

The concept of the number "2020": Number 2020 brings together the energies and attributes of the number 2 and number 0, both appearing twice, amplifying their influences. Number 2 resonates with the vibrations and attributes of service and duty, balance, and harmony, adaptability, and diplomacy, cooperation and consideration, receptivity and love. Number 2 also relates to partnerships and relationships, intuition and insight, faith and trust, and serving your Divine life purpose and soul mission. Number 0 carries the energies of the ‘God’ force and Universal Energies and reinforces the vibrations of the numbers it appears with. Number 0 resonates with developing one’s spiritual aspects, the beginning of a spiritual journey, eternity, infinity, oneness, wholeness, continuing cycles, and flow, and the beginning point...

Patrik Olsén aka NECTON started his musical career as dj. He had his first weekly resident dj slot in 1991 playing vinyl’s. With a background in the house and techno scene he soon got into the trance scene doing his first dj sets in 1994.

Necton was formed in 1997 together with Martin Staaf (Liquid Stranger) after they met in a large-scale commercial music-recording studio.
In late 1999, “Spirit Zone Recordings” offered NECTON a contract with album releases, compilations, and EP´s to be released only on “Spirit Zone”.
Since then NECTON has toured extensively all over the world, including countries like South Africa, Mexico, USA, Australia, Switzerland, Spain and Portugal to name a few.
In 2005 Martin decided to pursue his “Liquid Stranger” project full time, and left NECTON, which has since been a solo project of Patrik Olsén.

NECTON have recently released (2013) two EP´s, with a third EP on it´s way, two albums will be released this year as well, one album with newly produced music and one album with older previously unreleased music.

The music produced by NECTON nowadays is around 130-142 bpm, high energy and often-hypnotic progressive trance with a psychedelic touch.
Although trance music is the main focus, NECTON also likes to explore the realms of any good contemporary electronic music, with a psychedelic touch...
