Long before there was Sheldon Goldberg, the wrestling promoter, there was Sheldon Goldberg, the theatrical producer.  This is a collection of 5 radio spots from the original 1982 production of my musical revue "Dancin' In The Street!"  It ran in Boston for 70 weeks, with an addition production at Ford's Theater in Washington, DC.  

It's hard to believe that a Motown revue would be considered groundbreaking, but back in 1982, people didn't think you could take music off the pop and R&B charts and present it in a theatrical context.  The show was more than a local phenomenon.  It was the creation of what Broadway refers to today as "the jukebox musical."

These 5 radio commercials feature the original cast performing.  If you were around at the time, you have an idea of how special this was.
