Based in Paris, France, Alexis Talneau aka Aleqs Notal is a French DJ and producer. Born in the 80’s in the Paris suburbs, this underground music enthusiast could already be found behind the decks in the mid- 2000’s. The variety of formats through which he transmits music is dominated by a predilection for vinyl records which he collects from an early age. Notal belongs to a generation of artists building on nearly 2 decades of experience in their feld.  
Combining infuences from Detroit and Chicago, the sound that defines him reflects his early and endless fascination for the sharpest percussions. The always widening range of inspirations he puts forward, bears witness to the musical exploration he has been passionately leading over the years. From the most soulful House anthems to the deep Techno rhythms, the possibilities are endless.   

Coming from the Hip-Hop scene, he's no stranger to live performances. In early 2000's, after winning a few scratching DJ competitions (DMC, Red Bull...),  he makes a world tour for a few years with a French Hip-Hop group. While traveling, he began to dig underground House and Techno records and gain a foothold in the electronic music scene.

More than ten years after he started live shows, 2014 saw the release of his first extended project as Aleqs Notal, composer and music producer on ClekClekBoom Recordings. 
Bringing a raw yet lunar House sound with a seizing analogic feeling, he expresses that hybrid identity through involvements in the Paris Club Music compilations. After releasing the deep and powerful EP on Michael Zucker label Finale Sessions from Orlando in 2016, 2017 saw Aleqs Notal’s affirmation on the international scene with 
“Ascending Nodes”, on Patrice Scott label from Detroit, Sistrum Recordings.
In 2018 he went to Lagos in Nigeria, playing at the Fela Kuti's New Afrika Shrine and making an EP with Nigerian percussionist Wura Samba called The "Paris-Lagos Soundscapes" out on Phonogramme Recordings. 


Notal has been carrying out his activity of DJ sharing the stage with some of the most renowned DJs and producers like Larry Heard, Moodymann, Patrice Scott, Mike Huckaby, Paul Johnson, Honey Dijon, Rich Medina, DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Gregory, DJ Jus-Ed, Mike Servito, Jenifa Mayenja, Aybee, Shanti Celeste, Kyle Hall, DJ Fett Burger and more...  
He gained a great visibility on Paris scene thanks to recurring shows at renowned clubs like Concrete, La Machine or Rex Club. The word is also spreading worldwide with frequent shows on Rinse France and playing at venues like Panorama Bar, Tresor, Fabric London, Contra, Cakeshop, Pistil in Seoul, B1 Taipei in Taiwan... 
 

Now Aleqs Notal regularly releases his music on international labels like Sistrum Recordings, Phonogramme, Visions, Release Sustain, and more... He continues to share his vibes and energies in frequent gigs and radio shows.   
In 2020 he launch his own label, Industrial Light (I.L. Recordings).
