This mix is a celebration of our gathering and togetherness to brave the chill in revelry. This mix was a joy to play for you. I selected the tracks to end the night with the feeling of heart and perseverance that we may live in each of our lives this time of year. Every DJ I know has played this song in at least one set this year and it's still my favorite track of the year, so I wanted to just mix it up and do a complete trap dropout on the first drop. This mix is dedicated to one of my biggest musical influences, Nicholas Alvarado, aka soundcloud.com/pumpkin, who passed away this week. Nick was an inspiration to so many of us — both as a musician and as a human — to wear our hearts on our sleeves and to face life's slings and arrows with boundless optimism and love. Rest in peace. You'll always remind me that my job as a DJ is to pour my heart out through the speakers.
