Wavelengths of different frequencies bring us information about sound, temperature or the image of the world. Through our senses we form a coherent whole.
That`s why we love the sound of bells.
The sound spectrum of a single tone consists of the basic frequency and several higher frequencies that are a full multiple of the basic frequency. Together they form harmonious parts of the spectrum.
The non-harmonious spectrum consists of partly harmonious parts which are not full multiples of the basic frequency. The non-harmonious parts are added to the harmonious sections of the tone and produce richer instrumental sounds. Another determining factor of timbre is the transitional state which enables us to identify the source.

Light acts similarly. All the colours of the world  fit within the narrow margin of the visible spectrum. The frequency values enable us to reliably identify their influence on our well being and performance. Light affects our state of mind as much as music.

There's only one obvious thing in the sound of Neelix: Relentless forward boost. Exactly how this boost is generated is not obvious at all – which makes it catchy in the most subliminal way possible. The German artist playfully incorporates elements of Progressive Trance, Progressive House and Electro. However, the actual magic of Neelix happens somewhere inbetween those genres. It's 2005 when Neelix stirs a revolution. His album 'No Way To Leave' fulfills all the expectations of the dance floor – but it does so in the most unexpected way. Within no time, party goers refer to his highly dynamic hybrid style simply as 'Neelix sound'. It's the beginning of a stellar career that keeps building and building – just like a typical Neelix track itself. During the last decade, the music of Neelix has inspired a whole generation of producers, it can be found in the collections of countless DJ, in film productions, and in the catalogues of prestigious labels like for instance SpinTwist Records or Paul Oakenfold’s legendary Perfecto imprint.

Host of Color Theory on C89.5 FM, producer and DJ. Known for her emotive blend of trance, progressive, and melodic bass, she's released on labels including Feral One Records, Late Night Munchies, and Munchies After Dark. Madlon's sound bridges the cinematic and the dancefloor-ready. 

In January 2025, she launched Color Theory, an FM radio show on Seattle’s C89.5, guiding listeners every other Sunday night through a two-hour journey across the melodic dance spectrum. Her performances have spanned major festivals like Dancefestopia and Insomniac’s Boo! Seattle, along with direct support slots for artists including Ruben de Ronde, Fatum, Xijaro & Pitch, Amidy, and Pretty Pink.

Madlon's performances are characterized by their flowing meld of trance and melodic bass, aiming to take audiences on a colorful, wild, and healing melodic journey.
