I've been in a long distance relationship for a little over a couple years and a half. It gets really tough sometimes, I miss her every day I'm not with her. Communication, trust and patience... so many things go into the success of our relationship and I’m happy to report it’s been absolutely wonderful. I hope this project inspires you. I’m still in love with you. 

We haven’t exchanged thoughts in…a while. Feels like days have escalated into years it seems. Even though you probably won’t see or hear this…how are you? Are you well? Have you met someone who’s soul matches yours?

I just woke up from one of those “real” dreams just now. Y’know the ones that almost feel like they happened in real life? The ones so vivid, your brain confuses it as a memory of some sort. Yeah, one of those dreams. It was one of those dreams you wake up from and think “Damn…but it felt so real!” …I hate those dreams. But I can’t help but love them too. 

Also, I… don’t think I’ve ever seen myself that happy before….it was actually quite the awkward experience. Then again, maybe it was just weird seeing us together.  Waking up, my heart has never felt so fragile and strong at the same time… it was interesting to dwell upon so I made this song to remember the feeling.

I remember reading that you can only know how much you truly love someone until they’re gone. It makes more and more sense now that I think about it. 

To me, falling in love is a lot like falling into a crack in the earth. As soon as you fall, you freak out but… at the same time you accept it. Before you know it, you’ve reached the bottom. It felt like you were gonna die but, surprisingly you survived. 

When you look up, theres a fine line of light representing who you used to be. Do you choose to stay? Or attempt at climbing back up?

Choosing the latter never felt so bittersweet. 
I hope your doing well, in my dreams we may meet.

Last week we had the opportunity of putting together our very first mix! We were contacted by W.T. Snacks (Yes, THE W.T. Snacks!) and was asked to be a part of the 500th episode of his online radio show "Midnight Snacks". [internally screaming]

Believe it or not, it was probably one of the most difficult things we've ever done. Making a song is one thing, but combining a bunch of songs that compliment each other to create a 20-30 minute journey... ahhhhhhhh. I honestly don't know how DJ's do it! Like, they make it sound so easy right? When you're listening to a well done mix, it's almost as if you're listening to one seamless track with no bumps or detours. We were... extremely daunted to say the least. But we ended up managing (somehow!)

Although the transitions are definitely amateur, we feel like the amalgamation of songs in this mix really suit the atmosphere we'd like to create if we were to perform a live show. It's upbeat, cute and makes me envision what life would be like if it were to be painted with a pastel color palette. I'm really proud of it, but I know we can do a lot better with more practice! Such n00b, much needed improvement.

On a side note, the Andromeda and Alice remixes are exclusive to this mix! I hope you like them <3 Also "The Great Adventures of Galaxy Cat" will be released seperately in the near future (Which I'm actually so stoked for you have no idea, but we'll tell you more about that when the time comes :D) As for Harajuku Slam Jam... lets just say our bodies are ready for 2015 haha. 

Crazy awesome things have been happening in the past month, we released our first shirt, created our first mix, did a 13 hour live stream and aside from watching a bunch of new fall anime and playing a bunch of League and Awesomenauts, we're getting a lot more productive!

Not gonna lie, at the time that continuous eerie melodie pierced through my innocent 8 year old soul. It was just one of those songs that could give you goosebumps, shivers and maybe a new pair of underwear lol. If Lavender town didn't spook you the fuck out... YOU'RE A LIAR. HOW COULD YOU NOT LOSE YOUR SHIT AT THAT TOWN. ahh...haha...ah...shut up I was a fragile kid okay? #bigwoopwannafightaboutit

The idea to "NΣΣTify" Lavender Town and name it "Gengar" came last week after my brother got me one of those "Shiny Mega Gengar" download code thingys from EB Games (apparently it was super hard to get because most of the EB's in Calgary ran out D: If you haven't got one already, you should check your nearest EB or Gamestop!). Anyways, I guess... one thing led to another and we ended up making the song? Idk it just happened alofasudden haha.

Y'know what's funny though? I was never able to get Gengar back in the day. Never had a link cable...or friends who wanted to trade lol. JOKES ON THEM THO BECAUSE I HAD A HOLOGRAPHIC GENGAR CARD AHAHAHA. ah... :')

Real talk tho, I'm super happy with how the song turned out and I hope it gets you ready for Halloween! It's a slightly spooky remix with a sprinkle of that feel you get when you find out you have to get the Silph. Scope to see the ghosts inside the tower...or something. Ayyy!

It was the last thing you said before I woke up, in tears. I hate when that happens. I wasn't sad at all, just a little irked. I dunno the correct word to explain it, but it's that "Fuck, are you kidding me right now?" feeling. Of all nights, you chose to appear tonight... I guess it's good to have a taste of feels every so now and then. 

I'd be lying if I said I didn't think about you. It happens occasionally, mostly when I take naps. Sometimes you show up, sometimes you don't. But the times you do appear in my dreams, we're always just...chilling. Like at a coffee shop or on public transit. In this dream, we were on the last train home and no one was there except us. Your head was on my shoulder and that's when you said it.... then I woke up, had a cigarette and recorded this song. 

You'll never hear this song. At least, I hope you don't. Hmm...maybe I'm lying to myself though... maybe I want you to hear it.... but it's not like I want things to be the way they were or something. It's just...part of me feels like holding on to that little piece of memory I have of us...that's all. I guess my heart wanted to open up again for some reason. I'm thankful for that at least. You always said to do what feels right even if you're nervous. 

Wherever you may be...I hope you're well and you're doing what you love. I hope you're with someone who takes care of you and loves you unconditionally. I hope your dreams come true and that you're waking up every morning with a smile.

For now, I'll keep dreaming.

Do you believe in fate? It's a really cliché thing to ask, but the way things have been happening lately... it's really hard for me not to believe in it. This crazy idea that everything happens for a reason... I really don't understand it as well as I'd like to. Or, maybe that's the point of fate...to not question it and let things happen the way they should. I still believe that we're all capable of doing whatever it is we want to do, that we are all the drivers of this vehicle we call life but... sometimes the universe takes us in directions we never knew existed y'know?

A few days ago, I was on tumblr and Spazzkid randomly popped up on my dash. I remember hearing about him a while ago, SyrebralVibes sent me Daytime Disco and I remember feeling really happy after listening to it. So I decided to do what anyone would do when they find an artist they like... follow them on their networks LOL! But... something kinda baffled me while I was doing so... 

...I didn't really believe it at first, but while I was about to press the follow button on Twitter it said "FOLLOWS YOU" ... wait what? Did this just happen or...went on Soundcloud "Follow Back" ...wait what? Are you telling me he already knew of my existence? Woah x9001. I had no idea. 

At that time the way I described it was like "being reunited with a long lost older brother whom I never knew existed until now but has been watching over me all this time" sounds about right haha! Deifinitely an experience to remember that's for sure. It was then I jumped on Spazzkids Soundcloud and listened to Promise EP and heard "Truly" for the first time. 

Damn.

It's... just one of those songs, man. I can't explain it. Not only did I feel connected to the song, I felt attached. As if the song had pretty much summed up how I've been feeling lately. Everything from the happy vibe to the super cute Japanglish rap... I just knew we had to do something with it. 

Hastily, I messaged Spazzkid and asked if we could remix Truly. 

"Of course man!" Followed by the download link to the stems.

This had to be fate. It just had to be. 

This literally happened 2 days ago. So, I guess I don't have to explain where I've been these past couple days haha.     

"Yours Truly" is an amalgamation of all the feelings I've had recently. Quite literally, it's a bottled love letter in the form of a song. Goosebumps, butterflies and an open heart... 

The "I have so many feelings for you, but I respect you enough to keep them for the time being" letter.  

The "I can't think properly because you're taking up too much space in my head" song. 

I've never took this many musical risks before. We recorded lots of live percussion and we even decided to play Saxophone for the first time in 7 years. I felt like I needed to show you a little bit of who I was y'know? You had no idea how nervous I am right now. I'm sweating lol.

I really hope you enjoy this piece though. It was truly (pun intended) an honor to make it. Thank you for making this possible.

These past few weeks have been somewhat frustrating. I can't quite put my finger on what exactly is the catalyst for this energy, but I'd be lying if I said everything was going smoothly. The feeling is so strange, but oddly familiar. Fatigued and lostish, recently I find myself waking up and questioning everything. This has definitely happened before but, it's not as potent as I remember. I'm at least aware of these feelings and I suppose that's why I'm at a stalemate. Perhaps I'm searching for a new answer that is hidden beneath something invisible. Perhaps I'm not supposed to be searching for anything and I'm simply meant to continue operations as usual. Most of my feelings I tend to bottle up but something inside of me insists I share my perspective with you. I remember all the reasons why we're doing this and things slowly start to take shape. Whatever this thing may be, I'm really glad I have someone to talk about it with.

As troll as it may seem to name a song after one of my favorite memes, it actually felt pretty natural. "My Body Is Ready". I dunno man, now that I think about it, we probably should've thought of a better name haha. But, y'know I'm always down with gut feelings. It kinda describes this feel I've been having lately too. Full of confidence and ready to take on the world, but simultaneously engulfed in bubble of nervousness. Am I really ready? Nope, not in the slightest. But y'know what they say, the first step to success is convincing yourself that you're ready. Even if you're not, even if you're scared shitless about what the future has in store... if you just tell yourself you're ready...eventually you will be. At least, that's what I've been telling myself all this time.

Not gonna lie though, it's a really fun song! Still pretty kawaii alongside the addition of 8-bit elements and samples. Part of me worries if it's a little too daft but, hey we're in this to take risks and discover ourselves right? It's kinda like when you're entering a new territory in an RPG or when you find some random item and you have no idea what it does but you decide to equip it anyways...or something haha. It got me excited though, because we've yet to combine these things. Consider it a new recipe that I've been wanting to try out for a while. Here's hoping it's palatable! Oh, and I should also note that I've been playing a bit of Super Smash Bros. 3DS so before you ask why, it was all intentional haha. The open ended phrase at the end of the song is little statement wondering where we go from here. I can't see into the future, but I just have this feeling that everything's gonna be okay.

Before I sign off, I really want to thank you for your time, support and patience with me. Due to some unexpected feels I wasn't able to properly "get back into the swing of things" like I said I would on my vlog. So, I really appreciate you understanding and respecting what I'm going through. I miss you. It probably won't make a difference how you feel about me, but I just thought you should know. It's been a rough week and some too, thinking about it gives me a headache. An amalgamation of mixed emotions, more negative, some positive. But maybe it's a good thing that you're gone... actually no, I can't think of anything good about it at all. This year, I had the honor of scoring my friend Cesca's short animation film "YO-YO". The animation is about two yo-yo performers (Yoko and Yolanda) who one day find each other in an epic yo-yo battle! It's a beautiful animation and I'm so happy to have played a part in it.
