DJ and producer, Absa / Axel Masurel has been immersed in electronic music since birth.
He quickly developed a passion for DJing and music production. Son of DJ Miloch (a prominent figure in the French techno and house scene of the 90s with his label Tekmics and his duo Lake Soul) and nephew of @ravage-sentimental , he naturally grew up in a world shaped by beats and synthesizers.

At 18, he performed his first DJ set in front of an audience with the support of Cllctve (event organizers in the Annecy region). Around the same time, he launched a residency on Radio Ellebore with the show Promenade Moderne, broadcast weekly from 2015 for several years. True to his eclectic taste, the show explored a wide spectrum of sounds: from techno and house to hip-hop, future beat, and more experimental music.

Over the years, he has shared the stage with artists such as Para One, Florian Meindl, Un*Deux, Agoria, UJO, Bambounou, LOUISE, Ramon Tapia, and many more, as well as collectives like Laissez-Nous Ræver (Annecy), Résolution (Jura), and The Black Møøn (Annecy). He also co-founded the association Modern Walk, through which he organized events and launched a podcast under the same name.

His first single “Anthem” was released in 2022 on the label 1DG. He continues to share his diverse productions on SoundCloud, while performing regularly at events connected to Bieronomy (of which he is part of the team), including the Lyon Bière Festival. Today, he is an active member of the Annecy-based collective The Black Møøn.

Upliftment is a self-produced reggae band based in Paris. Founded in 2013 by Klint (keys, arrangements), the group was later joined by singer-songwriter, Natty Kauka, and a host of musicians of various styles and backgrounds, all united in the goal of mixing authentic Jamaican reggae with jazz, funk, soul, afrobeat and Caribbean stylings.

Starting with songs like "Open Arms," "Believe In Jah" and roots-oriented titles such as "Run Dem Run" and "Boom Bye Bye," the band eventually found its calling, led by a party-inducing horn section led by Yann on trumpet and a rhythm section with Fabien on bass, Guillaume on guitar and Luke on drums. 

In 2014, the band honed its arrangements and developed its signature style under Klint's direction. Delving deep into improvisation, jazz-funk riffs and Natty Kauka's penchant for dancehall, Upliftment created a modern, urban sound rooted in the fundamentals of reggae.

2015 saw the arrival of Charlie on trombone and Bijoux on backing vocals, and new tracks like "Hiroshima," "Love Rising" and "whole of them Chat" redefined the band's sound with new soul-inspired inflections.

Supported by MSF producer, Israel Rinaldo, Upliftment played its first concerts in 2015. The band quickly landed onstage with the likes of The Roots Engine and Youkou Kla. In 2016, Upliftment will be bringing its music to the people with even more concerts and a first foray into the studio to record its first album.

Après avoir œuvré en tant que musicien dans différents groupes de tous styles, WU.D se lance en tant que beatmaker solo avec un premier EP ("DubSession#01") en juillet 2017.
Du "Dub urbain" et électronique avec plusieurs invités de marque comme les Français de SmadCrew et Khoe-Wa Dub System ou les Jamaicains Isha Bel et WildLife/Nazamba, ...

En janvier 2019, c'est la sortie du second Ep, "JungleTao", aux sonorités plus "Jungle" et aux rythmes plus soutenus, avec encore de belles collaborations : Jolly Steweart, Astymanding, McJoss, Charlie.
Cette sortie est suivie de pres par une longue liste de EP produits en 2019/2020; année durant laquelle il fera un voyage en Amerique du sud pour y faire une vingtaine de dates et enregistrer une dizaine de collaborations avec des artistes et instrumentistes locaux.

WU.D se lance parallèlement dans un projet reggae/dub en duo avec le @NAHAKADubLiveBand plus motivé que jamais !
Ils participeront rapidement à des festivals tels que LesRockailles, le Rock'n'poche ou encore le off de PaléoFestival.
En mai 2020 ils sortent leur premier EP "First Step" sur le net label @Mareebass.fr.

Natural Dubs is a Mexican dubmaker, currently residing in the south of Mexico City. He has worked on different projects, playing Jazz, Ska and Latin music, which are his main influences. Since the end of 2015 he has been developing original music focused mainly on Reggae, Dub and Stepper.

I once had a dream that transported me beyond the realms of reality. Imagine soaring through the sky, perched upon a fluffy cloud, engaged in vibrant conversation with Bob Marley. It was in that moment of surreal clarity that I realized something profound—I hadn't yet shared my deepest passion: my music. Thus, I made a resolute decision to unveil the culmination of years of dedication and artistic investment stored within my laptop.

Hailing from the picturesque French Alps, my journey in music began back in 1998, amidst the captivating sounds of Riva Hifi and Reverse Side Sound. Over the years, I've evolved into a versatile artist—a selector with an eclectic collection of records, a DJ adept in the rub-a-dub style, and a skilled dub maker. Beyond music, I express myself as a drawer, a painter, and a digital graphic artist.

Crafting my compositions involves a symphony of talents—I wield the bass and guitar, orchestrate intricate drum sequences, and meticulously refine each track through digital mixing and mastering. My creative palette draws inspiration from a diverse array of musical luminaries including Lee Scratch Perry, Beastie Boys, Mad Professor, Bad Brains, and the legendary Bob Marley. Yet, it's the camaraderie with my peers, such as Soul Doctor and Mineral K, that enriches my musical perspective.

Despite facing the challenge of deafness, my sonic sensibilities remain razor-sharp, infusing each note with palpable intensity and emotion. In live sessions, the essence of Reverse Side productions comes to life, as we unveil a repertoire brimming with original songs, dubs, and bespoke productions.

My journey has intertwined with the trajectories of both modern icons and revered legends in the realms of reggae and hip-hop. Sharing stages with luminaries like Afu Ra, General Levy, and Queen Omega, I've traversed continents, leaving an indelible mark on audiences worldwide. Collaborating with esteemed sound systems, I've embraced the ethos of Words, Sound, Power—ready to ignite hearts and minds with the transcendent force of music.

So, as I continue to dream and manifest my visions into reality, I invite you to join me on this exhilarating voyage—a journey where reverie meets innovation, and where every beat resonates with the promise of boundless possibility.
