Its hard when you realize your not doing what you were put here to do. I love music and actually have the motivation and talent, but that means nothing without the time it takes to craft this skill...Well, now is the time.

A child of the wind. Sonny Daze, started a journey in music with his mothers record collection on the south side of Chicago. Born with a thirst for music of both past and present, Sonny's palate for music grew from the gritty street corners of Chicago, his grandparents southern roots and the late night rides in his uncle Paris's Cadillac.   This developed his understanding that music is a healing and unifying force that influences the world. 
Naturally Sonny was drawn to play music. As a child he'd place a speaker in the window of his grandparents house on the second floor and yell the name of each song through a fan. Songs from the likes of Earth, Wind, and Fire, The Jackson 5, Marvin Gaye, De La Soul, Rakim and many more. Being in Chicago as a Child the sounds of House music gave Sonny a unique experience.  "Growing up and sitting in my uncle's car or my mothers I thought that everything was about music. They'd just hop in the car to cruise to music."  As for house music effects on his music taste, "I just felt like all the music of that time in the mid 80's had been molded together and it was taking people on a new journey, something that just made you forget about the really bad times".  
Since 2000 Sonny has been spinning records to take people on a journey. "When I DJ I think of my uncle and his Caddy and cruising and letting the party's I play at become my home, my scene!"
Sonny's been on a journey playing with some of the best in the world and building a name for himself with Dj sets alongside legends like Andre Hachett, Rich Medina, Osunlade, ?uest-love, Gillies Peterson, and Afrika Bambaattaa to name a few. 

Sonny continues to grow is a producer and musician, with a focus on bring the "medicine" to his audience. "The world is filled with negative thoughts and behavior.  When I work my intend is to remove people from that for a few moments. So they consider taking other journey's”. 

I am a singer/rapper/producer/songwriter and the merciless & undisputed leader of The BadAsses. Everybody loves me, nobodies hate me. Please enjoy the show.
