This is an old Neil Young song from his album On the Beach. The very talented Chris Maness is on guitars and high vocals, while I'm on bass, synth, banjo, and low vocals. The rhythm is a looper I boosted from BandLab. I've always loved this song and used to sing it to my son in his crib. We hope you enjoy it as well. 

Albuquerque (with cgmaness)

This song began with Jeff (Stoner Jazz) sending the foundational tracks of guitar and drum/bass machine to Stephen (Tex Mex Shaman), who added some additional guitar and sound effects. They then sent it over to Terry, who added synth and percussion to the second half, as well as took over the role of producer for the entire track. Terry then sent it to me. I added the mandolin and the five string fretless bass to the whole thing. Terry used Hosam's vocals for flavor at the beginning, too. I had a lot of fun working on this one. Jeff and Stephen are excellent musicians, who are open to pushing the envelope of creativity. Terry is similarly open minded and super talented behind the board. Hosam's vocals were just right for what we were trying to do, too. I sincerely hope that that, although this is already my second song with Terry, that it will be the first of many with Jeff and Stephen, as well. all of these guys make exciting, amazing music on their own, too. I'm honored to be a part of their musical world.

I really like the YMO song "Perspective", composed by Ryuichi Sakamoto with lyrics by Peter Barakan. It's a rare song where Sakamoto takes on vocal duties, and it's one of YMO's later songs where Sakamoto's solo style is very strong. The simple yet profound lyrics really resonate with me, expressing the happiness and cruelty of everyday life, that is, the act of living. We are all torn apart right now, each one of us. If I were to add something to these lyrics, it would be 
"Every day, I drink a cup of coffee
Every day, I create my own music
Every day, I think about you"

This is Chapter 5 of our Elvenland saga. Hope you enjoy :)

As Raewyn ventures along the dark tunnel towards the Portal, she seems to hear whispered warnings echoing around her. Despite her trepidation, she slowly enters, but not before calling on the Ancient Ones to guide her through.

Inside the entrance she encounters the evil & terrifying Tresur Heldros, The Master of the Abyss and, as he speaks, she can hear the wails and laments of tortured souls who ventured there before her. 

However, Raewyn's Elven faith is unconquerable, and, as she bravely prepares to meet whatever fate awaits her, she remembers her ancient teachings.

Chained in a cave by the abyss, she patiently waits....

It's a wondrous life. Yesterday I listened to Michael Singer: "it's not about finding truth. It's about releasing ignorance". About letting go.

Relax and release. Try to feel into what your body requires, each moment. To meditate? To go for a run? To tap? To talk to someone? To experience nature? To read? To write? To compose? To sleep?

This is the most complex, but also maybe the most self-sufficient phase I've experienced so far, in this weird little life. Once my anxiety subsides, life brims. Even when that fear is still active, life keeps rolling – it's just that it becomes harder for me to notice it.

As Galya asked: me earlier this year: "if that fear would never go away, would you still love all of it?"
Yes.
I'd still love it all.

I drift through an endless ether of night. Space stretches out before me. All I remember blurs into a shimmering mist. I am weightless, floating among the stars and galaxies. Eternal silence takes me over and I fall deep into the void… Autumn leaves fill the air. In the distant fog, I walk along green hills and flowering valleys. The sunlight warms tall white towers in the distance. I feel this shine kiss my neck. In the sky, a plane drifts slowly into the abyss. The world becomes a safe place for us. All the whales have turned into birds.
