So interesting — the lower instrument adds a nice (counterpoint?) texture and harmony-almost-melody to the main piano-like instrument. Love the mood in this tune. And the art, too.

Obsessions #1 - Rainy Jazz

I love summer. The temperature and humidity make you sweat even if you stay still. The sun illuminates all the shadows that we would like to hide, both in landscapes and in people. That summer, people began to suffer from abnormally high temperatures. It is no longer a summer of memories, but a summer of ``heartache.'' I can't stand summer.
The song is a rambling expression of summer, and fragments of my anger ooze out.

Sad to say my trips to 'The Headstone' on Sheffield's Hallam Moor have been curtailed by my arthritic knees. But...I can see my old friend from afar and hope to commune with it one day.

When the magnolias bloom, it’s time to pour a favorite beverage, maybe a cuppa at daybreak, and enjoy the songbirds nestled in the trees overlooking the white petals of mid-spring magnolia.

Summer lurks around the corner, but it can wait! Chirpy melodies, cool morning breezes, and sumptuous magnolias, their blossoms swaying in the wind, set the pace. I think of it as Magnolia time — take it easy even when a busy day says no. Chill out. Tune in. And everything will work out. Stop and smell the roses. Or the blossom of magnolia.

Under the warm, golden sun of a tranquil afternoon, Sophia sat on a terrace overlooking the azure waters of Santorini. The whitewashed buildings and vibrant blue domes of the island formed a picturesque backdrop, while the gentle breeze carried the scent of blooming bougainvillea. In this serene setting, a relaxed chill piano and guitar instrumental titled "Halcyon" played softly in her mind, each note a tender echo of her memories.

As the music flowed, Sophia reminisced about her childhood on this beautiful Greek island. She remembered the laughter of family gatherings, the taste of fresh olives and feta, and the joyous festivals that lit up the streets with music and dance. The piano’s soothing melody intertwined with the gentle strumming of the guitar, capturing the essence of those blissful days.

Her mind wandered to the endless summer afternoons spent exploring the island’s hidden coves, swimming in crystal-clear waters, and watching the breathtaking sunsets that painted the sky in hues of orange and pink. Each moment was a cherished part of her past, a time of pure happiness and simplicity.

With the harmonious blend of piano and guitar as her companion, Sophia felt a deep sense of peace and gratitude. The halcyon days of her youth in Santorini were a treasure she held close to her heart, forever serenaded by the gentle, nostalgic melodies of "Halcyon."
