I made this in like 2 hours of hyper focus about my fuckin dnd pirate campaign because they came up with a funny title so i thought i'd make it a reality. Was fun experimenting with the different instrumentation and I think its quite lovely for a quick lil thing

budget increases treatin us well, getting a little folky with it. Hyped to try out more new technology but I'm already feelin how nice it is to have good tools at my disposal instead of scuffed ones. It also feels good that this was a consistent effort rather than 2 days of insane productivity and then nothin, I even took a week break for vaca in the middle and still had that schmoove when I came back. Overall pretty pleased

Feelin good about this one. Its kinda getting to the stage where I'm thinking more actively about instrumentation, synergy and actually chasing colors and timbres and such. Trying to make this the first in a series of themed works but ooh boy is that a daunting task.

Just messin about with a little ambient thing ig idk, was just muckin about with chatgpt prompts in the spirit of inspiration and improvisation, and tried to kinda expand on what i came up with with a bunch of drones and wind instruments and such. quite like it, feels good to let go of preconceived notions of what i gotta do with music for a bit.

A bit of a greek mythology theme, its about self love and such through the lens of narcissus and his reflection, treating yourself like a romantic partner.

Very happy with the instrumentation, i usually struggle with drums but i think its very nice. Been meaning to write something in true 5/4 and i think just strange enough to be interesting but not offputting since the groove is consistent. Some thematic stuff with reversed clips and the theme of reflection. I got a nice groove but was worried it may detract from the introspective nature of it, but I think through the rhythms of bass/drum/guitar I was able to control the energy when needed, and use the harp and voice to soften the mood to where I wanted it. I also think this is my best singing yet, definitely not perfect but for a mostly dry solo voice track, no doubling or chorus etc, I don't cringe giga hard when I hear it which is nice for a change.

Feelin good, had a vision and stuck to it while still rolling with the punches and incoporating new ideas as I so often do.
