Did not intend to write a waltz, I just started messing around with
 the minor scale and this is what happened.

This started as a melody I was humming in my head on one of my daily walks and went from there.
 The title was inspired by my wife's Aunt, who's husband was dying at the time. She called one day and when I answered she said,"I think my husband is slipping away from me"

Original song written and recorded by me using my looper pedal like a track recorder.  Guitars, bass, pedals, myself.  Big fucking deal.  Lyrics as follows-->

There’s a gyre in the ocean

It’s a waste of swirling motion
and trash thereof.
Well, If I dare,
I say it’s beautiful too.
You’re churning there
in that residue.
But, for us all,
I’d wipe it clean away,
and just float there,
waiting on the next one.

Being on one’s feet ain’t the same as taking a stand.
And loving a woman only goes so far in making a man.
Laughing alone in the moonbeams might turn me blue. 
But the same nightly light that colors me falls on you.

There’s an orbit I’m upsetting
when I meander.
There are epochs I’m forgetting
as I remember.
But dontcha see,
when the axis tilts awry,
our history
spits lava in my eye?
I bet before
I know the planet I’m on,
I‘ll up and die
waiting on the next one.

Shot My Guitar

This is the 11 installment of the Loop Dump CDs/pretend albums I have been making.  More tracks of this sort on the RadfordSessionsAndBeyond Soundcloud page.  The idea is composing loops that don't sound like loops.  All songs played on guitar with my pedalboard ending in an EHX 720 Looper.  I offload, or record, the the loops on my digital recorder (Yamaha AW16G).  That's the dump--to get them off my looper to free space for the next excursion. Yippee.
