A profound love for The Almighty God placed Neil on a unique path of life. This journey lead him down a number of roads where he encountered the many trials and tribulations of human culture. His music expresses both the uplifting and raw emotions that come from living in a turbulent time on Earth.  
      Monk was the name of Neil's first reggae project based in southern Oregon.  Playing during an era when Indubious and Alcyon Massive began their reggae careers brought a sense of unity and love to the community of the Pacific Northwest.
     Neil is releasing his first single entitled "Jah is the Ocean" on December 8th, 2023. A stepper tune highlighting both the depth of Neil's lyrical composition as well as vocal cadence.  The tune shares a roots message and delivery in both the choruses and first verses and ends with a strong fast paced hip-hop style section. Smooth and upbeat riddim with deep driving bassline shines light to production talent of world famous reggae artist Jallanzo from Jamaica who produced this track.  You can hear hints of Jallanzo's mastery in the dub world as he experiments with his magical wizardy thoughout the length of the tune. 
     One could find Neil Mangicaro sharing his music in a variety of live formats throughout the pacific northwest. Neil has been playing solo with his acoustic guitar this past summer of '23 and with 5 piece Roots Works Band. He performs in a duo dub project with producer Jallanzo as well as gigs regularly as a vinyl DJ.
