'one truth' is what maybe would be named as a 'world music' kind of piece. it includes a variety of native string and percussion instruments from various cultures. there are also some new sounds (syths drones etc.).

the overall sound/feel of the whole composition is (unconsciously) inspired by endless hours of listening to bands like the 'mahavishnu orchestra', 'shakti' and various records by john mclaughlin, the 'pat metheny group' as well as many of his solo records and composers like steve reich, hans zimmer and some film music guys.

Hi Tom - here is my submission for the nowscorethis Deadpool-Challenge.

+++ About the theme:
Deadpool is a heroic figure. Both as Deadpool and as Wade Wilson. He never loses his humor and stays true to himself and to the people he cares about. The theme wants to pay a truibute to these noble caracteristics.

+++ About the mood of the theme:
To me the music has to show the heroic role of Deadppol. It should be epic and big. With a strong «I never let go. You can't take it away from me and I won't let it be taken away»-groove. At the same time the theme should show a vulnerable side. Deadpool is between life and death. The music should add an emotional content that stands for the sensitive human aspect.

The second part of the theme (01:40) is dedicated to the bond he has to his wife/girlfriend. It can be their song. Maybe it was played at the location they once met...But it is used in various forms when the action of the movie focuses on Wade and his girl.

+++Where's the humor?
In my opinion the caracter itself delivers enough humor. He shows plenty of it. But it is also a twisted sense of humor used as a protection against these facts Wade is facing. My music should remind the fact that Deadpool is lonely, a good guy who tried and tries hard, a lover. The music is like his mission: All or nothing.
So insted of just triggering the humor with my music I deliver a more romantic/epic/emotional side to his gags.
