I recorded the shows from early 98 to the last show in Oct 99. 

Ralph was playing lots of great proper house music at the time, He got me into all this great music and labels. As we could hear the show each week to see what he was playing at the time. Luckily my mate (driver John) had a tape recorder so we could set the timer to record. Sometimes we would get back from Basics to listen Ralph for 2 hours. Then have the tape in my car for the week. Chasing down the tunes at local record stores. My friend Mick (Splitbox) is still getting tracks from these tapes now.  Not all the recordings are 2 hours as it depended what tapes i could get my hands on at the time.

Thought i would share these great shows with you all. Its a waste having them sat in shoe boxes. I was lucky enough to have a guest mix on his show which was a great experience.

Some times he would have guest mixers on the show. Also if he was unavailable to record the show other djs would step in. James Holroyd was one and Huggy.

Ralph Lawson Galaxy 105 Radio Show 22 - 02 - 98

His is another mix tape i thought i would share with you.

It is a guest mix that Gene Farris did on GrooveTech Radio in London back in March 2003.

GrooveTech was a internet based radio show.

The show i used to listen to was Jesse Rose, Front Room Selection. I think it was aired on a Monday about 2pm.

I had just got broadband so was able to record some shows. Is not super quality but great enough to enjoy.

This is a fantastic little mix with some great tracks. It is one of my all time favorite  mixes.

Neil Baldwin - Late Night Groovers Mix 1

It's 2016 , 20 years since I discovered the sounds of Dj Sneak in a Small dark room in Leeds.

After this night in 1996 at Back To Basics in Leeds i had to find out more about this unknown Dj.

This mix of the night  became available later, as did other Dj mixes much to the disgust of Sneak and a few years of fall outs began.

The mix was recorded and sold without Sneaks blessing. A few choice words where said at the time, luckily this is all in the past. Sneak happily now gives his mixes out on his own Soundcloud.
 

This was the mix that really started my love affair with Dj Sneaks mixing style and music. 

I originally had a copy of this mix and for years it got played heavily in my cars, eventually loosing the tape.

After a number of years searching again, another original copy came into my hands.

So I decided to record and upload the mix on my Soundcloud so you get the proper feel for the sound quality, not a poor Youtube rip.
