A 4-hour mix set I made in honor of TD and the late Edgar Froese, who passed away almost exactly a year ago. Temporary free download, high quality mp3. 

For those unfamiliar with Tangerine Dream, it is my very humble opinion (and VERY humble) that this mix is one of the best ways to be introduced to their music. It focuses more on their moody ambient side, which was sometimes overlooked because of the band's tendency to balance out their serenity with electrified, intense, faced paced passages. Of course that those peaks and valleys were what made the band legendary, but for listeners who have trouble with peaks and valleys, I offer this mix to remedy that a bit. Tangerine Dream's historic and undeniable influence on the evolution of electronic music can be heard throughout the set. It focuses on the band's first two decades, 70s and 80s, and hones in primarily on the period when Johannes Schmoelling was the third member of the band (early 80s) (which I believe to be their greatest period, but that's just me). Take it in. The mix is both entertaining and/or something that can be left on in the background.

Originally Mr. Klaus Schulze, the well-known contemporary of Edgar Froese and pioneer of electronic music was invited to play in the Szczecin Philharmonic Hall(Poland) in June 2016, but unfortunately had to cancel the concert due to his severe state of health. So he suggested Tangerine Dream to perform in his stead, which the band thankfully accepted. The concert took place in a stunningly beautiful location within the framework of the SOUNDLab concert series. This special concert was the first official big concert for the three remaining TD members to perform live within the new period of THE QUANTUM YEARS, the period Edgar Froese, founder and head of Tangerine Dream until his death in January 2015, still had the chance to introduce in Australia in 2014.

Thorsten, Ulrich and Hoshiko chose a series of well-known and popular TD tracks, but also came up with many new arrangements and some very new tracks from their QUANTUM KEY EP. Enjoy listening to a great live concert in Poland in a special atmosphere and with a wonderful audience. Dedicated to Edgar.

Salut à tous,

Voici un autre petit remix, enfin mix, que j'ai fait entre les deux boss de la musique électronique Japonaise : Ken Ishii et Kuniyuki Takahashi.

Je dois bien avouer qu'avant le festival "Japan Connection" à Paris en Mai 2019, je ne connaissais pas grand chose de cette musique.

Un mix va bientôt être réalisé afin de rendre un plus grand hommage à l'électro nippone. Cette track sera probablement intégrée dedans avec également une avant-première de "Summer In Japan" qui paraîtra d'ici peu sur mon prochain EP.
