These songs mean a lot to me, and I'm very excited to get them out in the world. In the past, I've mostly preferred to let my music speak for itself, but I feel compelled now to write a little bit about this release.

Some of these tracks started from small musical ideas and took shape over a couple years, others came quicker and more fully formed. In every case, I've tried to let each song develop into what it wanted to be without putting a label on it or judging what I was doing.

Because I "make" my albums at home on my own, there are no deadlines, no restrictions, and no one else but myself to either disappoint or please. This causes me to come face-to-face with both the limits of my abilities and the extent of my perfectionism, which can be difficult hurdles to clear alone. However, working with self-imposed restrictions can end up being a thrilling way to create music, and it brings things out of me that I otherwise would not have tried.
