My song "Sunny With Meteorites" stands for the co-existence of two opposing states and the feelings associated with them. The tension is clearly illustrated by the current state of crisis, which we all experience on a daily basis. At the same time, many of us are doing very well - we can live our lives (mostly) in freedom and we don't lack much. Or to put it another way: it's sunny, but we can actually see the meteorites in the sky and know that we're fucked.

After several EPs, Berlin musician Johannes Wockenfuss is releasing his first album "Space Sound Generator". The catchy singles "Shared Love" and "Sunny With Meteorites" are released in advance. With its high energy and musical non-conformity, the album marks another milestone in the young artist's development and sets a colorful accent within the electronica genre. Acoustically recorded drums, vintage synthesizers and striking drops give the record a consistently exciting drive. "I didn't try to write tracks specifically for DJs, but rather songs that are less functional and more emotional," says J.Wockenfuss, describing his approach to the production. "At the beginning of 2023, I quit my job and just did what I felt like doing in the studio. Without a musical concept, but with a great desire to try out new things". There is no better way to describe the eight songs that ended up on the album. In addition to the great sound, the artwork in paper art style is also noteworthy and was designed by the Berlin painter and artist Paetrick Schmidt in collaboration with J.Wockenfuss.  "Space Sound Generator" appears as a self-release and whets the appetite for more.

The very last BATB at the Styx was one to remember, with possibly the most intense psychedelic vibes of the year.

This closing set went from breaks to ethnic pop to the Buzzcocks to some afro disco jams to some Turkish psych to a 70s West coast latin rock anthem to Rude Movements to...that devil's hand landing on the last record (the Balek Band) 30 seconds before its ending...Lots of booing ensued followed by the biggest cheer ever...Chant down Babylon!

Mika has an incredibly warm and deep voice. Deep as in tickling the low end of the frequency spectrum; and deep as in touching the deepest thoughts and emotions of the listener. Manuel Meyer has been involved in a remarkable amount of different Electronic projects for a remarkable amount of time already - yet he’s a remarkably humble producer. Both have the same hairdresser; which again is how Berholter came into existence. Together the duo creates the musical counterpart for that mellow feeling of inner warmth that lingers in the chilly air of the big city at the beginning and at the end of a long club night. In the twilight of pop-infused uplift and subtle melancholia Berholter present two irresistibly catchy tunes. To expand their musical momentum in the direction of maximum danceability, there’s also two splendid remixes by Myagi and Dompe.
