Duro stalwart and Mexican native Tyu is back on the label with two fresh new cuts that come with remixes by Bawrut and Niv Ast. 

Tyu releases his distinctive brand of disco on Calypso Records as well as Trafico and runs his own Disco Sentimiento. He draws on a rich sound palette and cleverly treats vocals to cook up intriguing music that has groove and character to spare. 

His opener here is ‘Bailando’, a high pressure cut with punk drums and hits and a menacing vocal laid over the top. Soul fuelled pads light up the background as the groove chugs on and gets you hypnotised before a brilliantly uplifting breakdown. Madrid based Bawrut, an artist with high level DJ support and a vital discography brings a wide range of influences, to his remix. It’s a strobe lit, face- slapping affair with corrugated bass and freaky vocal yelps that will arrest any club. 

‘Pieles’ is the second sizzling original and has a haunting female vocal that brings cold wave vibes to the stark metal drum line. Piano stabs and tumbling fills add rawness and energy to this fantastic marching disco cut. Tel-Aviv based artist Niv Ast then excellently reworks it into a loose limbed, jumbled bit of disco funk with reverberating hits, echoing vocals and lots of whirring drums that keep you off balance. 

These are four fantastically invented new wave disco cuts.

Tyu - Bailando (Original Mix)

Darkness, “the polar opposite of brightness, is understood as a lack of illumination or an absence of visible light. Human vision is unable to distinguish colour in conditions of either high brightness or high darkness. In conditions with insufficient light levels, colour perception ranges from achromatic to ultimately black. The emotional response to darkness has generated metaphorical usages of the term in many cultures”. And when it comes to music, dark vibes, like the new work of Braulio Renteria, create an intense and deep experience, forged with ominous pads, grisly FXs, grim synth lines and macabre percussions.

This is the third time the young and promising Mexican DJ and producer “Braulitro” appears on our platform: First with the review of his debut as a producer released on the impressive project Sinchi Collective; second with a powerful and exclusive mixtape in which he allowed us to take a small peek into the universe of his many music influences (SXDNS120). This time, he partners up with another Mexican talent: Luis Fernando Hernandez aka Ludviq, who contributed with an outstanding (and, yes, obscure) remix for the title track Advertencia and is also the founder of Bonkers Records, a label focused on sharing the work of the next generation of producers not only from Mexico but also the world.

Después de unas series de excelentes lanzamientos en Duro, Roam Recordings y Night Noise, Roliva nos trae su sonido psicodélico a Emerald & Doreen Records. 

El músico se incorpora a nuestro sello con su single "Credus" un track energético, pero a la vez lleno de nostalgia, que hace alusión a esas situaciones atemporales, que deseamos hubieran sucedido en el pasado pero que hoy, por extrañas razones están sucediendo. Así es como lo indica el joven productor.

Uniéndose al EP, lo acompañan remixes del Italiano Tulioxi, quién mantiene la esencia disco y realiza una versión más groovy del track. Technobeton, quién resalta lo industrial. También Ton Globiter quién realiza una versión más melódica y por último Gegen Mann quién explota el lado EBM.
