Birds (@birdsoflondonsparadise) is Katie Wilkinson and she has her own popular radio show on Netil called Feed The Void which showcases her widescreen tastes. Her productions are just as broad as they mix up techno, 90s acid, electro and gothy 80's EBM and New Wave. They have so far come out on the likes of Hoga Nord, Ombra International and NEIN while she also contributed to this label's vital IMPACT compilation. She opens up this superb EP with 'The Chimes Of Solitude', which is five minutes of brooding electronics, slow dub rhythms and shimmering synths that awaken late-night spirits. 'The Island' is another mysterious and occult affair with dark bass and jittery drums. Heavily filtered vocals echo through them with twitchy acid flashes and mystic synth leads that serve to slowly hypnotise. The brilliant 'Dance Of The Cobra' layers up more stark analogue drums and gothic bass sounds with eerie synths that ring out into the darkness. More spooky spoken words and caustic acid lines add further intrigue while 'Fragments (A Song For The Dead)' closes with a slow but heavy techno kick drum, textural chords and jerking acid-laced rhythms that demand you march along in submission. This is a brilliantly bleak yet beautiful EP on Freeride Millenium (@freeridemillenium) that contrasts light with dark, hope with fear.

BREAKING NEWS! UFOs were spotted, again, ripping the night sky of Tepoztlan, Mexico, and witnesses claim one of the alleged flying objects has dropped a package of some sort in the middle of the city. In it: A super advanced computer hard drive containing the forthcoming release of Tierra De Ovnis on Veneno.

Joking aside, Mexican producer Jesus Cuevas has just written another solid chapter of his career under the moniker Tierra De Ovnis (SXDNS295). His previous appearances on Duro, Sinchi, Espacio Cielo, and Rotten City Files present irrefutable evidence such a career tends to be successful. For his freshest episode, Ludviq and A-Tweed jumped in with outstanding interpretations of the well-constructed originals enriching the release even more.

The track we were solicited to premiere presents Jesus flirting with Macumba elements by delivering a theme filled with percussive layers and mantra-like vocals. Its mesmerizing and enchanting atmosphere puts us in touch with obscure and hence misinterpreted cultures as ancient as humanity itself.

PREMIERE392 // Tierra De Ovnis - Ela E Dança (Original Mix)

German-born but Austria-based Jorkes is on a great run of form right now. The Freeride Millenium label head is an icon of the queer scene whose music always highlights the importance of the dance floor as a place of liberation. She is a resident at Stuttgart's Romantica, conceived the brilliant IMPACT compilation series on Freeride Millenium and always cooks up fresh and emotive club tracks that fuse house, disco and techno.

This new remix is part of an EP by Super Drama that also features remixes by Tomas Jef and Grace Sands. Jorkes's remix is a standout, though, with taught, pinging kick drums making for a groove full of swing. Coarse hi hats up top and sinewy synths make for a steely but steamy vibe with wordless vocal coos and fizzing pads all intensifying as the track unfolds. It's a humid and atmospheric track that eventually brings rays of hope and light thanks to some bright chords later on.

Jorkes shows off another superb side to her sound with this fresh remix.
