The goal of this workshop was to probe possible ways of communication between different music traditions (free improvisation, jazz, and contemporary classical music). This was achieved by exploring possible new readings of contemporary music pieces, all through the lense of musicians from the improv and jazz scene.  
The re-construction workshop provided a meeting ground for the composer and attendees, as well as the tools to interpret contemporary music pieces using three different methodologies: the score, the recording, and the rules of improvisation. 
In open collaboration of relatively disparate music genres, the performers faced the challenge of redefining their technical and musical expression while the composer rediscovered his work filtered through different musical layers. 
The idea of interweaving different musical practices together stems not only from an attempt to extend the boundaries of quintessential creative dynamics, interpretation, and reception — but also from the fact that each of these practices comes with a genuine porosity of style.
The transformative experience in reexamining individual approaches to music from different starting grounds helped give wings to new interpretations, and to the new structuring of a music piece.
The recordings on this CD testify to this fact in the best possible way.
