Haling from the South West of England come the duo know as ‘PHIBES’ who have been causing a ruckus with in the drum and bass community as of late.
With previous Beatport numbers ones across all genres with their Beat Assassins ‘Homegrown’ remix or their latest outing for Born On Road Records, where their track ‘DIVA’ also hit the umber one spot on Juno Download.

These guys mean business and we are proud to announce they are dropping their brand new single on the mighty Nemesis Recordings, joining artists on the label such as Bad Company UK, North Base, Cynematic, Pulsar, Skantia and many more.

‘Why Should I’ is the track in question…could this be another contender for that glorious number one spot for the duo...Well lets just wait and see!!

Anyways now back to the music…

Luscious vocals fire out from the get go, whilst those contagious synth hits touch your heart and soul as the build up comes in… and then BANG! In come those naughty kicks, snares and percussion with an added layer of seriously dirty bass tones to fully set the pace. This one is not taking any prisoners.

This one is already being coined as another hit from the duo…don’t miss out as the mighty PHIBES touch down with another classic track for the masses…

Hi, welcome to my little music blog!
It all started back in middle school. During breaks between classes we would send each other music on our phones with infrared and bluetooth. First it was all pop and rock music, but soon I found out about dubstep and drum and bass. It changed everything for me. I had many mp3 players and ipods full of music. I started going to raves and music festivals. I enjoyed some house, hiphop, techno and even psytrance. It's been a journey and after many years I am still so excited to hear new beats and melodies. I've been constantly reposting my favourite tunes for everyone to enjoy with me! Music just makes me so happy and I am glad if I can make you happy too! Besides partying I listen to music while at work, at home, on the streets or in gym. Basically all the time.
Most of all, I love drum and bass. Mainstream, liquid, rollers, jump up, neuro, jungle... you name it. I have dug deep into the world of drum and bass. This page probably has over 10,000 drum and bass tracks reposted by me that I really enjoyed. A few years ago, my friend invited me to a festival in Belgium, and I fell in love with heavy dubstep. After that, for 2 years straight, I was obsessed with it and even made another page for reposting. I found out about genres like riddim, wave, and trap. At one point I didn't want to know anything about it and deleted the page! Right now this is the only page I use. Maybe one day I will return to drum and bass, but lately I've been feeling crazy and reposting other stuff too. I love good music; I don't care what you call it, and I love to find inspiration in different genres.
For some time I was really into deep house. I love to shuffle (dance). I don't mind some bass house. Slap house? I love that. Club house, G-house, melodic house, electro house, progressive house, and yes, even tech house... whatever. I love house music!
I love big festival music like trap and hardstyle, but I also know what underground techno means. I love hardcore, and sometimes I love chillout.

PS: I really love to dive into other genres but the freakin soundcloud 2k following limit is so annoying! Do i really have to make a new account for each genre? I got big love for over 10k DJs.

NORTH BASE continue to tear up each and every club, festival and dance floor with their unique cutting edge DJ skills & productions & sort after dubs that have already gained support from the heavy weights of the DnB world such as Andy C, Bou, Hedex, Chase & Status, Hybrid Minds, Pendulum, Sub Focus and others, regularly supporting their tracks.

Having featured on BBC Radio1 & Radio1 Dance this year in 2025 with their amazing guest mix for Charlie Tee on her drum & bass show which has got a lot of people talking in the scene. The guys have have also gone on to remixed artists such as Craig David, Big Narstie, Ms Dynamite (OBE) Example, Benga, Skream, Laidback Luke, Sander Van Doorn, Labrinyth, and many more.

These guys are evolving each year from strength to strength and are serious game players within the drum and bass scene. Already starting the year off with a brand new album entitled ‘TRAVELING’ forthcoming. Do not sleep on NORTH BASE as this year these guys have a lot of music to drop…

I am just a HUGE music fan!!!  After hearing my first Florida breaks back in the middle to late 90's and then going to a Baby Anne show in Atlanta, I was hooked.
