Hello, hello! Johnny here, on a brand new day, month, year and chapter- READY to take this music thing to new heights. FOREAL. I come to you this time with a record that may or may not sound ignorant and/or flashy, but that's just how the record manifested itself in the creative process. Anyway, as the song reflects where my mind/heart is, I hope to direct that vibe to YOU, the listener- in hopes that such may inspire, influence, encourage & promote PAWSiTiViTY. Not only that, but this is a statement. A statement to my peers/competition, letting them know that as much as I appreciate their work (and the relationships that have spawned from being apart of this music circle), I'm here with a valid PURPOSE.

TiME will tell which of us are really set apart for GREATNESS and which are not. With the upmost respect, I'm trying to CHANGE THE WORLD- what are YOU here for, if not that? If not that, you may need to re-evaluate your purpose. This is the TRUTH as I have come to believe it. Music is POWERFUL in so many ways- and if you aren't using that power to benefit the people around you and those who come in contact with it, then I'm afraid your contribution carries no value- No TRUE VALUE, I should say. Especially NOW when it seems like anyone can sell records..

Enough pep-talk haha.. Regarding "FANTASTiC.", I've brought on the help of my fellow artists; #KELEGi, #MOMUSiQ & #CHUCCNORRiS..

Kelegi (Terrance, as I call him) is the skill behind my latest artwork; "Ride It Out, Run It Back", my SoudCloud header, avatars across all social media, etc. I've been blessed to have his help with the visual presence of my work- has come in clutch so many times, so I'm very appreciative of his time and effort in bringing the appearance of my work to where it is.. FANTASTiC. Haha..

Mo Musiq (SUPER PRODUCER) and I have developed a great chemistry that allows us to bring to you, what you hear. I haven't been able to duplicate such vibe with any other producer, so the content is authentic in it's feel- I'm very grateful for Mo and his art- Such an OUTSTANDiNG musician he is. But aye- somebody tell him he ain't gonna find an artist better than I on his beats. ON THE REAL! Hahaha..

Chucc Norris is not only a Utah native artist, but he is also of my maternity bloodline (#TUiTA). Though Chucc may be new to you, he's actually been with me since I first started years ago. My brother will soon have his debut single ready come 2017, so be on the lookout, my friends. I vouch for his sound, so take my word for it- you already know I'm good for it haha..

This was my last release of 2016- now avail for the NEW YEAR of 2017. Like I've mentioned before, 'twas a slow year for me (2016), but it ain't nothin' a yoko like me can't bounce back from. I'm here for a REASON- and you're favorite artist is only here for now. TRUST & BELiEVE. Thank you all ever so much. I LOVE YOU for your LOVE and support. UP n' UP YASELF!

Welcome yet again to another DARK HORSE/KELEGii presentation. Glad you’ve decided to take the time to stop by. Whatever influence; the universe, the secret, higher intelligence, luck- possibilities are many, but whatever it was that brought you here, I’m grateful nonetheless. Whatever it was that brought you here, I’m confident that it was not in vain.

Tonight, I have a record that’s backed by the most unlikely story of any one I’ve worked on before. It’s actually pretty funny, so make sure you’re sitting down when you read this.. It’s not that funny, but have a seat anyway because it’s long haha..

Typically, I get a good amount of correspondence each day, in different forms. The amount is not too overwhelming, but it’s not just a few either. Here and there I get inquiries about collaborations, but for one reason or another, they don’t always pan out. In fact, most of them only become so much as a thought before they dissipate into the air from whence they came. In this particular case, with Mann One, it was the exact opposite. Mann resides half way across the world on the continent of Australia, but because of the internet, lucky stars and drunk confidence, he was able to connect with me. YES, my friends, you read right- my dude was tipsy when he sent me the snippet that begot this whole song haha.. 

He had sent me a video of his recording session and even through that recording, I could sense right away that the song was ALREADY a great one, even without me. From there, I immediately hit him back to let him know that I was interested. Now, after a lil’ bit of time & work on the song, here we are with its release.

Because of where I’m from (UTAH), I tend to forget just how big the world is. Just when I thought I had a grasp on it, I’m corrected by reality, and in this case, reality is that I have brethren at a great distance doin’ exactly what I’m doin’. Mann and I are both of Polynesian (Tongan) descent, but outside of that, he and I are worlds apart in more ways than just distance. With this specific joint, I was hoping to find a balance between both worlds by countering his delivery, which is in our native tongue, by gettin’ at it the way I would get at any other record- but still compliment his take at the same time. This was our result. As an artist that strives to be versatile, I’m hoping that this song shows just that, the pride I have in my ethnicity and in my country (USA).

It was a fun record to create to- and I believe it’s the FiRST of its kind for me. Mann One went all the way in on the song, so it was only right that I meet him on the same level. And again, #KELEGii came through with the amazing artwork- very grateful to have the uso in my corner. That goes for YOU as well, listener. I’ll have another one for you not too long following this release, so please stay with me as you have. ’Til then, my friends. UP n’ UP!
