CAPTAIN HOOK is the new project by Reshef Harari, from the center of Israel, who is already well-known as being half of the duo QUANTIZE as well as for his techno project SHEFF.

After the release of the debut Quantize album at late 2008 on Iboga Records he has been in high demand on dance floors across the globe – from Universo Paralello, XXXPerience, Tribe, Playground & Atmosphere in South America to Burning Man & Symbiosis in the US as well as some of the biggest festivals on the European scene, such as Sonica, Antaris and Hadra, where Quantize have pumped out their unique fusion of psychedelic progressive techno trance. As already mentioned, he has been releasing techno-tunes on his own for a while with the project Sheff, with tunes heavily supported by key players like Umek, Erphun, and Perfect Stranger, and now the time has come for a solo-exploration of the progressive side of psychedelic trance with the new project Captain Hook! Heavy basslines, crunchy grooves, and a sound very suited for nighttime are the ingredients, with a focus strictly for the dance floor, things are looking very interesting for the coming months as well as 2011. Releases are on the way on Iboga Records, Echoes, Plusquam, and Blue Tunes including remixes of Ace Ventura, Neelix, Ritmo, Easy Riders, and Psysex as well as collaborations with Tetrameth, Zen Mechanics, and Ace Ventura. Captain Hook

EBM (Electronic Body Music) and Industrial were introduced to Goa in the 1980s by DJs like Laurent, Fred Disko and of course Goa Gil. This harsh electronic dance music became one of the foundations what later was to become Goa Trance and Psytrance.

This set is my first try to do the reverse step by incorporating modern Psytrance elements into Industrial dance music. Goth and Goa - a real clash of cultures so different yet so similar.

Born 1982 in Munich, NEO//LIX grew up with 80s synth music, being fascinated by the endless possibilities of electronic sound generation. After experiencing the rise of electronic dance music during the 90s, he had his first contact to Psychedelic Trance in the legendary Natraj Temple club - and instantly fell in love with it. Starting DJing himself in 2014, he already had the opportunity to play at lots of awesome events and even got the honour to be a part of international festivals like the Life Celebration Festival in Croatia.

Deeply influenced by old school EBM (Electronic Body Music) and Industrial on the one side and Ambient and Classic Electronica on the other, NEO//LIX's sets tend to be dark and serious, while still remaining melodic and never becoming too stressful. Always trying to tell a story, he gives the listener a trip through time and space. Never committed to a single style, his repertoire includes Ambient and Downtempo, Dark Progressive / Zenonesque, Nightpsy, Forest, Darkpsy and Hitech.
