Dean John Athienides a.k.a KINETIKA has been Deejaying for the past 36 years, and is considered to be one of South Africa’s most successful and talented dance Dj’s. 

Dean has played residencies in over hundred night clubs in his career, he has played at the top dance events in the country and has been featured at these events for as long as the trend has been around. Dean’s versatility is a huge asset, to his career as he is able to play a wide range of music, from progressive House, Trance, techno and Psy Trance. Dean has played at events hosted internationally by, Cream, Ministry Of Sound, Global Underground supporting Dj’s Sasha and John Digweed plus Anthony Papa, he has also played in Ibiza and at the Love Parade in 2000 where he performed for 1.3 million people in Berlin alongside Kai Tracid.  As well as Clubs Overseas, Stern radio (Berlin), Matrix (Berlin), XS (Berlin), Time of Change (Spain) and Goliath Party (Hamburg). He also wowed the South African Public with the Liquidreams, Mother, Ice and the Camel Experience Parties, where he played to crowds of 35000.

Soramimi, alias of Celia S. Kim, is a NYC-based electronic composer, producer, sound designer and co-owner of @dusk-notes record label. Launched in 2011, her project focuses on music as narrative imagery, with a celestial sound illustrated by cerebral textures and rhythms, and deep hallucinatory compositions. She brings a distinct fluency and gravity to the table of nuanced experimental techno and ambient.

Soramimi’s live PA features her original compositions using both hardware synths and effects and software. Forgoing the path of the DJ, she instead chooses to showcase her own creations with live electronics. Her performances intertwine throbbing immersive techno with heady rhythms, and create alluring layers of intricate and evolving sonic abstraction. Influenced heavily by cinematic sound design and evocative sound scoring, she summons a powerful, visceral reaction in the listener. Her live PA has been spotlighted at NYC’s esteemed Output Club, The Bunker New York, Good Room, Knockdown Center, Red Bull Music Academy Radio and Bossa Nova Civic Club; and DC’s revered Forward Festival. She has shared the stage with other forward-thinking live PA artists such as Rrose, Lawrence English, Sleeparchive, Drumcell, Blazej Malinowski and Vril.

Well-received in both critical and tastemaker circles, “Rapture Insignia,” released on Dusk Notes in 2015 and Soramimi’s second solo EP, proved to be a groundbreaking production for the artist. Resident Advisor applauded its exploratory sound and generative composition, by the “hardware whiz capable of finding beauty in the stormiest of synth workouts.” Electronic Explorations Podcast 389 featured the release, alongside Soramimi’s rare DJ mix, praised by many as their rare find for the year. 2015 also saw the artist’s success as a sound designer, for an award-winning ad campaign for IBM US Open.

Her swiftly expanding catalog features releases alongside Perc, Acronym and ASC. The release of Soramimi’s third solo EP “Pure Rubedo” on Dusk Notes, and her exclusive feature for Slam Radio 274, were both highlights for the producer in 2017. 2018 further propelled the artist’s creations, with “two strong, deeply hypnotic releases on Monday Off and Detroit Underground” and a “masterfully engineered” remix on Dusk Notes (Mixmag) - her co-run label which “like Soramimi herself..demands and rewards close inspection.” (DJ Mag)
