The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (時をかける少女 Toki o Kakeru Shōjo) is a 2006 Japanese-animated science fiction romance film produced by Madhouse, directed by Mamoru Hosoda and written by Satoko Okudera. the film is a loose sequel to the 1967 novel of the same name by Yasutaka Tsutsui.

Our song is inspired by the story of Makoto Konno and Chiaki Mamiya. 
A lot of people probably love the movie for its melancholy and that’s totally ok. If only she said yes the first time she was asked… Time waits for no one… Blablablaaaa. NT3 aint like that tho so when writing our track, we were more inspired by everything else the movie had to offer.

The scene where Makoto jumps of that high board is probably the most iconic scene of the entire movie correct? Well, that scene = our song! we wanted to make a soundtrack to this.
The scene where Makoto is on that hill and feels unbeatable and on top of the world? That scene = our song. 

All the Scenes where Makoto is using her ability on what one might call Trivial things and just has nothing but fun? Thaaatz our song! 
We admit that this might be just as immature as Makoto herself in the first half of the movie but hey, whatever man, dial: 911 ima boring person, I love boring things.

We wanted to tell a different kind of story with the song, less drama a bit more romance maybe? Don’t know, it’s kind of difficult to explain. It’s easy to hear and feel tho. Anyway that’s one of the reasons why we literally altered one of or two minor things in the dub department. 
And yes, We know that In the movie Chiaki and Makoto never actually Leap together but for us the idea of it was just a thing of absolute beauty and awesomeness so we kiiinda went a bit with this fantasy 💙

A Single Vector plays up to 3 instruments…. at the same time…. That makes…uhm apparently no one of us is good at math…who cares! ….We are free…and we love to constantly remind you of that like Frey in Fisheye Placebo. We Also Love Sweets…a lot like like Killua, but more than anything we love Anime and Anime loves us so we treat Anime like Kintaro Oe treats toilets. Neotokio3 is SUGOI like twenty-four Eureka7 and Great like Great teacher Onizuka! Seriously, who the hell do you think we are? Put the entire Akihabara district in a box.
