Occasionally Robert Babicz changes in to his other producing trousers and almost like a super hero, changes in to 'Rob Acid'. We also think he wears a mask, but we can neither confirm or deny these rumours.

Analog Session Nr. 1 is a moody little number, with the obligatory acid just hinting throughout. Fierce and fresh, we like this.

Analog Session Nr. 2 goes straight for the jugular. A magical 303 voyage of beefiness.

Analog Session Nr. 3 really picks up the pace with its frantic patterns here to play with your mind.

True Blood is a solid club destroyer where acidic mayhem meets quality melodics.

Twenty years have passed since Robert Hood established M-Plant as the outlet for his pioneering, minimal reinvention of the Detroit techno blueprint. To mark this anniversary, 2014 has seen classic M-Plant releases reinvigorated by a series of re-edits and remixes, culminating in the next milestone in the label’s musical journey: ‘M-Print: 20 Years of M-Plant Music’.

Spanning 33 tracks across 3 CDs, ‘M-Print’ brings together for the first time a collection of essential Hood moments from the vast M-Plant back catalogue, alongside a hoard of new, re-mastered and unreleased material. German producer Markus Suckut returns with a mesmerising techno release entitled ‘New Life EP’, a precursor to his forthcoming album on Rekids. First appearing on Rekids in 2015, Markus Suckut has since become a vital member of the Rekids family when not running his own labels SCKT and Pattern Research. Pounding drums and atmospheric effects initiate ‘New Life’ before a groove laden bassline and scintillating synths ebbs into the mix. ‘Mistakes Are For Everyone’ then generates an oscillating aesthetic whilst syncopated kicks join echoing nuances, leading into the rattling sounds of ‘Shimmer’ with its ghostly chords and tantalising melodies. 

With Suckut having released two albums already the Düsseldorf artist is no stranger to the long player format making his forthcoming album on Rekids all the more exciting.

Following up an array of functional club tools, 'made of CONCRETE' invite Linearis to offer up a pack of versatile and idiosyncratic tracks, while dub techno producer El Choop returns on remix duties.

Exploring the outer fringes of the 4/4 realm, 'Differences' delves into unexpected sound territories without losing touch with ground zero. Sub-heavy drums mix with cinematic pads and raw breaks on 'LDB', the genre-bending opener, while 'Trim FX' takes it back to the dancefloor with a highly energetic yet fluid, progressive cut. 'Slow Fade' explores a more melancholic side of techno, with its stripped back atmosphere and echoing dubs. El Choop gives the track a distinguishing treatment, amping up the atmospherics into a resonant, raw number.
