Little improvisation made after watching Fracture Sounds "Hemisphere" trailer and turned into track. The ad set the emotional state and choice of instruments. NO A.I. INVOLVED!

What I played sounded so melancholic that it reminded me of the thoughts I had while walking with my wife. Every playground we passed was empty. It contrasted with times when our son was little - finding a free swing for a toddler bordered on a miracle. Now it's a miracle to see children swinging on them. Could the "Universe 25" experiment have predicted everything that is happening now?

I played it in one take, then did some editing and added cello, harmonics, bass and ambient sounds. I used only three instruments: two from free Spitfire LABS libraries: Ambient Guitars and Cello Moods. Bass is sub patch from Native Instruments Massive.
I used one sample from the BBC Sound Effects library: Children: Playing - Fushun: Children playing in snow.

The genotype of this song definitely includes two of my favorite This Mortal Coil songs, "The Jeweller" and "Tarantula".

Time doesn’t always rust metal.
Sometimes it rusts people.
This track drifts through helpless love, broken rhythms, and the silent fight to hold on.
A voice speaks, but can’t save.
It can only stay.
But a father’s love for his daughter never breaks.
It just waits.
Fights to the bitter end.

🎼 Monologue:

She used to shine…
but now I see her fading.

Not because of time…
but because someone made her believe she’s nothing.

And I can’t fix it.
I can’t protect her.

All I do is watch.
Watch the light go dull…
and feel this silence scream inside me.

I want to fight him.
Shake her awake.

But I’m just…
standing in the dark…
holding all this fury,
with nowhere to put it.

She doesn’t see herself anymore.
Just his voice… echoing in her mind.

Every mirror shows his lies.
Every doubt – planted.

And I…
I remember who she was.
Before the fear. Before he rewrote her.

I want to reach in.
Pull her out.

But she won’t take my hand.

So I wait.
I stay close.
Even when she turns away.

Because love…
love doesn’t tarnish.
It just… holds on.
Even in the dark.

I don’t know what to do anymore.
I talk, but she doesn’t hear me.

I try to stay calm,
but inside I’m breaking.

Every day she fades a little more.
And I watch.

I watch her believe his words.
Not mine.

I feel useless.
Like shouting underwater.

I would give anything…
anything
to trade places.

But I can’t.

I just… sit with this weight
and hope she finds herself
before it’s too late.

But only time will tell.

A short improvisation inspired by our first visiting hummingbird of the season. ☺️

The Hummingbird

Every night at 2:13 a.m., the old carousel at the edge of town begins to turn—slowly, deliberately—though no one is ever seen near it. The fairground was shut down decades ago, fenced off and forgotten, but locals swear they’ve seen the horses rising and falling in the dark, their chipped paint gleaming under moonlight.

There’s no power. No wind. Just movement.

Some say a child vanished there on the fair’s final night. Others whisper that the carousel was built with parts from somewhere… not quite right. It doesn’t thrash or scream. It moves gently, like it remembers how to bring joy—but has no one left to share it with.

It’s not violent. It’s not loud. But it spins, always at 2:13, like it’s waiting for someone to come back.
