i have alwase loved music, i played keyboards when i was very young but i found it hard because i was born with a genetic default called "bieng left handed". that is when my music teacher suggested drums this opened the world of music to me. i started listening to rock bands such as led zeppelin, rush and kiss. from there it grew into metal (judas priest, iron maiden, black sabbeth) but it was only a few years ago i started listening to anything. now i have too many influences its hard to name them all and because i descover new music all the time my favorite bands constently change. i just love music too much to hate any particular band or artist. because there are enough critics in this world.

WHO ARE VELVETINE?
Well... for the uninitiated, we consider ourselves a humble set of mal-adjusted musicians. We know what we want, we KNOW what it should sound like and most of all, we want to share it with you. Our personal musical tastes and preferences are eclectic and wide to say the least. When we come together, it's as an ORIGINAL rock n' roll outfit. We'd rather inspire and lead than blindly imitate what's gone before. Where's the glory in that?

With the dial set to 'Party Hard' and all the chocks pulled away, let's crank up the volume cus we're here to rock the shit out of any venue, big or small and leave you all with your lighters in the air and standing in a puddle of your own piss.

Novellas are a three piece that blend dramatic, guitar driven songs with cinematic ambience. Focusing on pop sensibility and with one goal – To create songs that sound huge. 

Influenced by guitar music from the mid-sixties onwards they draw from Rock, Shoegaze, Dream Pop and Indie. Often cited by journalists and bloggers to have different influences and different genres with every mention they create a sound and identity that is totally unique. 

Launching in April 2015 a year on they had over 50 shows under their belt, have appeared at different festivals including Camden Rocks, Victorious and Southsea Fest as well as Reading’s Oxjam. They have played their first London headline show at Camdens The Monarch, appeared in various magazines, supporting larger bands including Blackfoot Circle at a sold out Wedgewood Rooms and BBC Introducing played the bands single ‘Foolish’ from their Double A-Side two weeks running before release.

They have nothing to hide - Just three boys and one huge sound - Played with raw emotion and their art worn proudly on their sleeves.

Started in the summer of 2015, Glass Cage are a blues three piece from Portsmouth, England. All three of the members have just finished their BA in Music Performance and have been playing together throughout studies for around five years.
