@tunnelvisions1 return to their home label @Atomnation for a fourth fantastic release in the last three years. This six track excursion builds on the pair's warm, richly melodic and always hypnotic style with fantastically colourful results.

Tunnelvisions is Emiel van den Dungen and Raynor de Groot. Both artists keep busy with their own solo projects (Milio and Coloray respectively) but continue to find fascinating middle ground when they come together in the studio. 2020 saw them step out on Moscoman's Disco Halal and Solomun's Diynamic, while they have also been remixed to great effect with influential DJs like Dixon and Tale Of Us playing the results. Now, though, they are back on Atomnation with another superb collection of cuts.

The undulating 'Acid Neverland' opens up with its succulent and supple drums overlaid with heavenly chords and glowing pads. Coloray's vocals are then layered in to bring some drive and attitude to this most compelling of tracks. 'King Cobra' is a dubby delight. Its airy hi hats, bulbous bass notes and tripped out melodic motifs all sinking you into a trance.

There is more angst and energy to the malfunctioning melodies and steel-plated drums of 'Mirrored Identities' while 'Waiting For The Morning' is a perfect dreamscape. It's a super widescreen track with deft pads coming in and out of focus, glistening melodies reflecting light and pulsing drums locking you in. 'Private XS' flips the vibe with more drawn out and sinewy synths gurgling and bubbling away as they ride up and down the scale like a slow motion cosmic explosion. Last but not least, 'End of Time' has the most pop hooks and catchy riffs of the lot. They dart about the mix as smeared pads and crunchy, punchy drums encourage you to cut loose.

This is another masterfully cohesive collection of colourful dance floor cuts that take in pop, techno and synth music and skew them the unique lens of Tunnelvisions.

Let's start with the hypnotic grooves of »Holographic Witness« with its subtle handclaps and percussions turning this bass-line driven monster to further heights - a bass-line quite reminiscent of that special Miami sound made famous by the Murk guys back in the early 90ies. Add some balearic guitar riffings and wait until that mighty bass drum comes back in after 6 minutes and you'll find yourself dreaming on a dancefloor in heaven.

Niall continues with more pounding drum sounds in next tune »Kakooja«. Stabbing synths sounds dominate this track while Niall manages to create another dreamy vibe again for this monotonous (in a very positive way that is) work of art - a dreamy vibe which can be found on any of Niall's EP's tracks. This leads us directly to »Last Floating Figh, Liufe Floating« where Mr. Mannion floats into much quieter shores. It's a very meditative affair which makes you want to listen to it over and over again once the tune comes to an end. We think that Señor Villalobos might unleash this one very soon onto some European dancefloor … don't you think?

On »Weather Master«, this EP's last track, Niall masters the art of trippy sounds for a fourth time building another dreamy hypnotic groove that is just beautiful. Maybe too beautiful for this world … we don't know, but what do we know? We're fans. Fans of Mano Le Tough who does not seem so tough at all considering his first offering for Live At Robert Johnson.

 Musical journey:



 Nemesis is Bert De Decker, 24 years old and living in Ghent, Belgium. His journey in trance started out in 2001 when he first came into contact with the music and the parties. In September that year he co-founded party organisation ‘Dacru’ (<a href="http://www.dacru.be">www.dacru.be</a>) and started playing out at several parties. Not long after he won the first Psychedelik radio Mix Challenge which lead to the residency at the Paris-based webradio. As he became resident with Psychedelik, and Dacru organised more parties, he had the chance to enhance his mixing skills. In this period he found his true style which was nicely described as 'Melodic Full-on'. Today he tries to play his own definition of uplifting melodic trance. He likes to shift between styles and loves well built-up climaxes at the right time and long emotional breaks.

 Since August 2003 he’s also been producing together with Alpha under the name 'DigiCult' and in early 2004 he became a label dj for the legendary UK label Transient Records (<a href="http://www.transient.com">www.transient.com</a>), a reward for the constant high level in his mixing! In the end of 2005 the first full album by DigiCult will be released under USTA Records and Nemesis will also be dj-ing for this established Israeli label.

 Over the years Nemesis has performed in various countries such as Belgium, France, UK, Mexico, Italy, Spain, Hungary, Tunisia, …. And he has been on the line-up with artists such as Skazi, Hallucinogen, Shiva, SUN Project, Menog, Xerox &amp; Illumination, Wrecked Machines, Fatali, Bizarre Contact, Miraculix, Triptych, Penta, Pop Stream, Alternative Control, Perplex and many more...

 Special memories include playing the DJ Live sessions (Paris), the Rhakti Dei festivals (Belgium), Chichime (London), Mikology festival (Mexico), Caser Orgasmen (Italy), Omni festival (Spain) and many more of course...

For the first time on this planet Dial owner LAWRENCE shows up on an excursion to his beloved PAMPA imprint. The double feature "Kurama" presents two deepy enchanting anthems, a timeless vision of love. After touring around the globe with his new label mate DJ KOZE since ages, having the most successful release in Dial history with Kosi's Efdemin remix, sharing music with each other like crackbrained, it is not a big surprise for LAWRENCE to occur with two of his best pieces on PAMPA Records.

Well known for his releases on Mule Electronic, Ghostly International, Styrax and his own imprints Smallville, Dial and Laid, it was his first Mix CD on Cocoon Recordings "Timeless" which made Lawrence put some cats among the pigeons. With the new PAMPA again he has proved that the holy temple of deepness has to invite some flawy hypnotists once in a while to get clouded and shaken.

The number 09 is dedicated to two most famous experiences in Japan: The Kurama Mountain in Kyoto, one of the most amazing places on earth, and Oolong High, one of the most amazing drinks on earth- cold Oolong Tea on the rocks with a zip of japanese Shochu liquor. After KOZE and LAWRENCE had another few of these beverages again they started dreaming of this wonderful release.
