DJ RO
DJ RO has been influenced by music a strong magnitude since a very young age. It’s simple to see how his name derived; he simply used the first two letters of his first name. The two things that have allowed DJ RO to grow and have success as a disc jockey are 1) his one of a kind voice that everyone enjoys and 2) the knowledge of music along with its flow. DJ RO began his journey as a DJ in the summer of 2004 in Foley, Alabama by initially playing music for the other DJ at his birthday cookout. While keeping the music going at the cookout, several individuals approached Ro asking if he was the DJ for the club that night, and one thing led to the next and DJ RO was born. As a child he always loved poetry and music, which has kept his ears to good music his entire life. He also took his appeal to poetry and other type writings to obtain his Bachelor’s Degree in English from Fort Valley State University in 2005.
DJ RO has worked with various artists, including Bushwick Bill, Pastor Troy, DJ Unk, 11-Dub, Baby D, EZB, Raheem, DJ Taz, Project Pat, Rocko, Rico Wade, Qua Bo Gold, G-Roc, Shawty (the comedian), Juney Boomdata, Dub G (UGK Records), DG Yola, Bonecrusher and many more major and independent artists. In addition to working with the variation of artists DJ RO has also worked in a host of clubs in his home, Atlanta and a host of other cities in Georgia in addition to other cities around the Midwest and South. Just to name a few cities he has worked in are: Birmingham, AL, Columbia, SC, Detroit, MI, St. Louis, MO, and Cincinnati, OH. However, DJ RO has not limited himself to only keeping the crowd going at clubs and private parties; he is also available for booking at weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, school events, recreation centers, social gatherings, etc.
In the future DJ RO aspires to be one of the most influential DJs in not only the United States, but across the entire globe. He plans on achieving this by constantly working hard with artists, charity events and a multitude of individuals looking to have a great atmosphere with music and his presence. One thing that sets DJ RO apart from other DJs is his ability to control the crowd with his verbal deliverance along with the music.
