After Phaeleh's legendary <a href="http://bit.ly/1hKWqmy"> i-DJ mix</a> there was no way we could pass up an opportunity to have him back. This time he takes on the Slumber Session and packs in a tonne of unreleased exclusive material to deliver this beautiful, ethereal soundtrack to help you journey through your dreams. Take time, kick back, zone out and drift off. This one is special.

"This Slumber Session mix gave me a great opportunity to make a playlist of something I would want to listen to when unwinding, or to just fall asleep to. I wanted it to be able to exist in the background, without focus, whilst at the same time having elements of detail and beauty scattered amongst the layers of sound unravelling as the mix progresses.

In some ways you can think of it as a soundtrack to a dream. There are moments of calm flowing smoothly into more abstract sections. Textures build to go from sparse emotive landscapes to darker, brooding moments of tension. I wanted it to be dynamic, taking in a variety of styles and influences, whilst giving the listener a coherent experience and painting some interesting images in their minds.

It also gave me the chance to put in a lot of unreleased tracks of mine. I make a wide variety of styles outside of my normal output, so it was great to have an outlet for some of that material. There are also a lot of field recordings I've made over the last few years throughout the mix, including some from my travels. The opening section of music features the sounds of walks in Sydney and San Francisco, which at the time was just some subconscious grabbing of sound recordings without any kind of artistic purpose - it just sounded cool at the time. It seemed fitting when I realised where the sounds were from, as the mix would have been the perfect playlist for a lot of my sleep deprived travels.

I ended up getting so involved putting together this mix that there's a lot of live tweaks of outboard reverb and delay units layered on certain tracks to try and get the sense of space I wanted to achieve and give the mix some breathing space. I find that ambient music can be incredibly beautiful and achieve the range of emotions other music can. I hope that you enjoy the musical selection and can immerse yourself in it, even with the emphasis away from the hooks and rhythms of traditional electronic dance music."

Branchez Diplo & Friends Mix 2015

It's unclear as to whether Moscow's 813 named himself in reference to Tampa, FL's area code, but the young Russian producer is dropping Floridian levels heat on this mix as he follows up a release on Mad Decent free label Jeffree's with Body Race, out on Hyperboloid on June 2. The EP is three tracks with titles like "Dick Cash and Burger," and "Biscuit Palace." It's hyper-ized internet bass, somewhere between PC Music and Trippy Turtle and is another of many notable releases for hometown label Hyperboloid.

This mix, 813's first for THUMP, kicks off on the internet tip, but before long hip-hop takes over as the dominant flavor and then it's all about Mainstage turnup vibes as Skrillex, Snoop Dogg, and DJ Snake pop up alongside Mr. Carmack and Rustie. Apparently it's already the weekend in Moscow.

It's been two years since @Vindata members Branden and Jared launched their production and DJ project. Since then, they've released a debut EP on Kastle's Symbols Recordings, remixed A-Trak, Ellie Goulding, Alex Metric, Odesza, Clean Bandit Jack Ü, and more, reached multi-millions of plays on SoundCloud and signed with OWSLA, who will be releasing their upcoming 'Through Time And Space' EP (out Aug 14th).

Their sound, which has grown and adapted alongside both the club and festival scenes over the years, has always been rooted in catchy melodies, human grooves and forward thinking production. Their upcoming EP takes elements from each of their previous original and remix works — bright and energetic chords blasts, hi-res tropics, and dynamic pop structures — and pairs them with a set of talented vocalists, further defining the duo's impressive approach to accessible dance vibes.

CHIEF is a dynamic beatmaker, his music has been best described as filling the gap between classic beatmaking and forward thinking production. He’s well known both for his solo work and for producing the cream of the cream of both confirmed and upcoming rappers/singers such as Moka Only, Blu, Co$$, John Robinson, Kissey Asplund, Aloe Blacc, Dynas, Les Nubians, Just Brea, Sene, or Abstract Rude to name but a few.  Chief released his acclaimed debut album “Collabo Collection” in 2009, which was very positively greeted by both medias and fans. In 2011 he released the instrumental album “Drone Beats & Electric Waves, a collection of haunting and bewitching instrumentals crafted specifically for this project. The album showcases Chief’s technical deftness while letting musicality take the front seat, and fills the gap between classic beatmaking and forward thinking production. Chief’s production exhibits a rich pallet of moods and atmospheres.  From hybrid electric beats to mesmerizing urban soundscapes, from cloudy ambiences to sophisticated soulful monsters, Chief’s production showcases the moods and aptitudes of a forward-thinking producer capable of intelligently blending electronic influences together with hip-hop roots, to the best effect.  He recently entirely produced the successful album “Crickets” with Canadian rapper Moka Only, released recently on Feelin’ music. Chief is also the founder of Feelin’ music.
