Jo ennestään Floorluv-klubikonseptin takaa löytynyt Rony Rex on nyt aloittanut uuden menestystarinan Helsingin Tavastialla, joka kaikesta päätellen on mennyt vähintään suunnitelmien mukaisesti. Kiireisen keikkailun lisäksi mieheltä on tulossa myös keväällä/kesällä ensimmäistä kertaa omaa musiikillista tuotantoa – jää nähtäväksi, mitä jännää spesiaalia sieltä pukkaa. Jos musiikki on miksaustaitojen kanssa samaa luokkaa, ei ole syytä huoleen.

Tämä XmiX nimittäin vetää aika hiljaiseksi. Lähdetään selektiosta: #JotainRonyRexMusaa on aika valtava muotti, mutta muotti se on. Kappaleet ovat keskenään jopa hyvin eri lokeroista, mutta samaa maata ne silti jostain syystä tuntuvat olevan. Mosaiikki on varmaan paras vertaus, sillä vaikka millaiset palaset yhdistyvät miksissä luontevasti. On vaikka mitä hämärää bassomusaa, vähän garagea, vähän jotain electro housea ja yhtäkkiä kulman takaa hyökkääkin Alex Metric. Tätä hyvä musaselektio kaipaakin: yllätyksiä! Rony Rex ei myöskään rajoita itseään ilmiselviin kappaleisiin, vaan soittaa myös naftaliineista kaivettuja omia suosikkejaan – silti myös vaikkapa todella ilmiselvä Jack Ü kehdataan soittaa. Balanssia kaaoksesta kaikin puolin.

Ja miksaus itsessään on huippuluokkaa. Biisit vilistelevät ees taas juuri miten tahtovat, eikä mitään ratkaisuja tekniseltä puolelta voi hyvällä maulla kyseenalaistaa. Jotkut vaihdot ovat aivan perinteisiä ja yllätyksettömiä, toiset flengaavat naamalle aivan puun takaa – tyylillä. Rony Rex tyylittelee dekkien takana juuri miten tahtoo omalla mallillaan niin livenä kuin näin radionkin välityksellä ja koko hommasta välittyy tekemisen ilo. Loistava XmiX." -Ravebox

Berlin-based producer @moomin's third album 'Yesterday's Tomorrows' came out earlier this year via Wolf Music, and in something of a new direction, it found him incorporating his love for hip-hop, jungle, funk and breaks into his usual sample-led deep house sound.

Here it is folks, my set from Fozzy Fest last summer at the Shipwrecked Stage. This was the latest set I played all summer at 2am so I had to bring the heat.
