This is a compilation sample from my royalty-free soundtrack Retro Fantasy Action Soundtrack. The full collection has over 1 hour of audio spread across 40 unique and unrepeated loopable music!

The style is meant to match that of mid 90s arcade machines. Where you could be slaying dragons but also hearing guitar samples and rocking drums. It's got fully retro realized orchestral sections playing right along side a fully lo-fi band.

Could be action games, fighting games, RPGS or puzzle games. Whatever you are making, this soundtrack was meant to be the backdrop!

A 2006 demo of the track "Hope Is Cruel" by The Charm Offensive, a short-lived post-Microsurgeon project. Instruments used, if memory serves: Alesis SR-16 drum machine, two Moog Liberation synths, a QY-100 sequencer, a Nord Rack 2 (I think), and probably an Alesis Nanobass or Nanosynth.
