I wrote this song at a low point in my life when I had a friend who I was always ready to lose. They were popular, and I always had a gut feeling that they could leave me any second without care. They had people lined up for them. Meanwhile, I did not. It was like they always had an automatic invitation to anything. They didn't have to be invited to the after party, they just arrived...
