Sorcerer Summer Jazz Mixx

If you're following us, you're probably also following Larry Hansen, aka Da Blu Room. Larry constructs intricate guitar instrumentals that are sort of a proggy version of fingerstyle, but flatpicked, with occasional Celtic or (as in this case) old-timey rooots showing through; and always, always recorded very cleanly yet warmly due to his technical expertise. So what better than for G&B to dirty up one of his tunes?

Fortunately, Andreas (https://soundcloud.com/im-schlaflabor) had beaten us to it by adding his fantastic harping to Larry's original, and he was kind enough to provide us with his track as well to add to our mixup. Andreas came to our attention via the excellent Jews Harp Repost page, and is equally interested in using his 'silverfish' in folk and experimental musics.

Larry's original is a personality split three ways and stemming from his experimenting in open G tuning. The ecstatic first movement has an old-timey A part and a bluesy B part, then the outro is a contemplative, almost pastoral use of partial chording in conveyance of whatever complex emotions the listener is feeling. Right up the G&B alley. We tried to accentuate all three personalities with various instruments and textures, with the usual blend of banjos, mandolins, slides, kitchen implements, and voltage; we hope you hoedown along with Larry & the crew until those fuzzy, twangy overtones  set your mind and body at ease and those final harmonics set the tone for a good night's rest.

We wrote this one recently and wanted to capture it quickly as it was fresh, so we decided to take a trip to Tpot Studios, Path of Condie to record with veteran music producer Robin Wynn Evans. This was recorded live in one take. Video was shot by Robert Smith and edited by us afterwards.

Here is a song I'm currently working on called 

Someday I Will Love Again 

All instruments up until  this point are performed by Kenny... 
They include Acoustic Guitar , Mandolin , 6 string ,7 string electric guitar, Guitalele  and electric  4 string Bass Guitar.
Additionally , all synthesizers and keyboard parts used in this song  were triggered and played by Kenny  VIA a Guitar .Those sounds were triggered VIA The Jam Origin Midi Guitar interface or the SONAR audio to Midi pitch conversion VIA Melodyne Essential . This was done while using a multitude of different guitars ( 6 and 7 string .) 

This whole project was tracked and mixed in SONAR Splat using only the Stock VST plugs that came with the program .
My SONAR  Mix was then brought into Mixbus 3 where it was  dialed into  a nice warm analog sound ...
