The Team

Yaniv Fridel started his career as a classically-trained tuba player, performing with Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra, Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and Israeli National Opera, before a Masters in Audio Production at the University of Westminster, London. Until joining forces with Lemez, he was the main composer at one of the UK’s leading commercial music companies, Shriek.

Lemez Lovas started his musical life as a trumpeter and singer, studying music in the Gnessin Academy, Moscow, European literature at Oxford University and a Masters in Ethnomusicology at SOAS, University of London.  He then went on to front and write songs for various acts and labels including the internationally successful group Oi Va Voi (V2/EMI).

He has written for and with - KT Tunstall, Alice McLaughlin, Sophie Solomon, Bacon & Quarmby (Sugababes, Richard Hawley, Finley Quaye), Mike Spencer (Jamiroquai, Newton Faulkner, Kylie Minogue), Paul Epworth (Bloc Party, Babyshambles, Plan B), and worked with the following record labels:

 Virgin, Relentless, Polydor Warner Chappell, Decca, Universal, RealWorld, Outcaste, V2, EMI, Sony/ATV, EMI Hungary.
