Continuing to blaze their trail through the lower depths of Drum & Bass, DJ Ink's Architecture imprint returns with 5 cuts of bottom swimming dubwise ruffage from Hungarian duo Apostroph. Influenced heavily by the minimalist aesthetic and ambient sound design of artists like Loxy & Resound, Instra:mental and ASC, Apostroph concoct their own visions of stripped back half step crafted for the dance floor or home listening.  

From the throbbing kicks and bongos of lead cut "Control", to the melancholy echo chamber melodies of "Delusion", their steely vision takes shape. Things take a more sinister turn with the eerie building tension of "Haunted", going further into the abyss with the lurking darkness of "Separated".  Rounding out the package on a high, massive woodblocks meet the churning undertow bassline of "Vacant", imparting a deep Junglist taint to the whole package.  Raw, weighty and essential.

With its debut release newly launched Vykhod Sily Recordings celebrates the 2 tracker EP from the tribal wizards dreadmaul & Bereneces who are responsible for the serious soundsystem damage worldwide over the recent years. The result of their collaborative work for VS Recordings is two dark cuts each of them are unique in its own right. Heading at the ghostly depths of halftempo drum-n-bass these two giving us the rising sense of dread with their murky swamped-out vibes. The monster tune “Aakhu” attacks with heavy subs and sharp percussion while contagious “Intercontinental” is killing us on quite meditative and delicate tip. Both tunes can be possibly defined as the modern acoustic rituals in the dead of night. Come join the tribe.

Finnish duo Out of Fuel return to Translation with the Isolation EP, showcasing the deeper side of their ever-expanding sound with plenty of bass weight. Swirling pads and wintry atmospherics set the stage for Minus 25, a half-tempo groove with infectious, echoing sci-fi FX and subtle dubwise aesthetics. Cabin Fever is an immersive deep-stepper with snappy breakbeats and a scorching mid-bass to heat things up. Chain Reaction sets things off with a chest-thumping kick and thundering bassline, building into a stormer of a track. Hypersensitivity levels out the vibe with soothing pads, transitioning effortlessly from drum & bass tempo into half-time between technoid bass and shuffling percussion. Resound revisits 2016’s Ghosts for the finale with his Rhytual Remix, crafting a hypnotic techno-fueled web of tension and release at 164 BPM.
