It began with a low rumble from all degrees of the horizon, and envelopment of portentous sound that seemed to emanate from everywhere and nowhere all at once. From high above, fluctuations in the jetstream whipped the clouds into a frenzy, stretching, swirling, and blending them into a slate of blackest-grey from within which thunder and lightning began to add their voices to the ensuing cacophony. As the roar on the horizon grew, the very air itself seemed to slip and surge around the sonics that cut through it, churning it from stillness into a great gale that nipped with icy jaws at the flesh of any caught within its flow. Then, as though in a perfectly discordant concert with the air above, the ground itself began to shake, roiling in opposite motion as the second wheel of a planetary mill set to grind those upon the surface into dust. From within the fissures that scarred the Earth’s surface poured rivers of magma that made a cruel mockery of the world’s aqueous veins as they brought death to all with which they intersected and poisoned the air with toxic gasses long kept locked beneath the earth. Those who strove yet to live within this hellish world could not but hear a single voice in their minds, chiding them for forgetting what had always been known, dooming them to watch as the ENSUING CATACLYSM consumed the world that had once been their home.

AGRESSOR BUNX stand before the EATBRAIN horde as the heralds of the ENSUING CATACLYSM as they deliver their second full album to the waiting ears of the label’s faithful. Here was something wrong with his latest creation. It sat very still, staring with tense eyes at him in silence as he leant over the altar of his work. His instruments glinted with the reflected gold of the candle flames that lit his space, the cradle of life where he replanted embers of consciousness in the infertile grounds of the dead. Up until now they had stirred into reality with the confused motion of limbs, eyes rolling and hands moving desperately along the cracks of the floor and the edges of the doorway, seeking fervently a way out. But this one was different – her eyes had snapped sharply open, she sat upright, and since that moment her stillness tainted the room with a quiet malice. Her eyes followed him as he moved, inspecting his work beyond an arm’s length. The black pits of her pupils like twin gravity wells, cold tendrils reaching out and compelling him closer as though death’s hand brushed the back of his neck and whispered timeless truths with a whisper into his ear. He drew back, looking down at the dark blood on his hands as her eyes flicked over them. Reaching behind him, he grasped his chair, sitting down slowly, his legs trembling slightly before buckling beneath his weight. The oppression of her stare bore down upon him.

DIASCOPE 002 is here.
While celebrating  and reflecting the past 10 years of Neonlight we came across of six tracks that have been released around 2009 and 2010 on Trust in Music. 

Regretfully the label does not exist anymore. So we decided to remaster these pretty cool tracks and make them available for everyone again.

For us every track is connected to memories and personal stories.  The Frozen Tape (formerly named as "frozen feet" - because of Jakob's freeeking cold flat share room in 2005), System Error (collaboration with the extremely talented Hedj - miss you bro - R.i.P.), Dessert (good times and vibes with Miss Redflower), Epidemic & Enter (first online collaboration buddy RolaR) and last but not least THE BLACKOUT (timezone collaboration hustle with Kiro from California) may recall good memories for the ones, or be completely new for the others. 

However, we hope you (still) like it as we do. :-)
