Our 40th guest is NICK DEVON.

Nick Devon an Athens based DJ/producer whose involvement with electronic music has spanned more than two decades. His musical journey commenced at 16, when he started experimenting with toy pianos and pretty much anything that could produce notes. It was 2010 when he officially launched his solo project and from this point forward, Nick started producing sounds and music that shook the dance floor, yet bestowed captivating melodies and emotional soundscapes, allowing people to create their own story within his productions. Ever since then, Nick’s career swiftly evolved.

Artist Info:
Alessandro Serena aka Wurtz was born in Genoa (Italy) in 1990. His passion for music began very early and the first own experiences behind the decks was at the age of 18 in the local Ligurian Riviera scene, becoming residence of Riviera Gang, the most important organization in Liguria. He graduated in Milan SAE Institute (Sound Audio Engineering) and then started to produce his own music. He got very early important feedbacks and support of well-known artists such as Richie Hawtin. He spent a year in South America and after, he returned to Europe, more precisely in Ibiza, where he started to work in a reality like Afterlife. During these years, he changed and matured it’s own sound, reaching more melodic vibes, but always keeping his dark side in his productions. In the last year (2019) he was supported a lot by Tale of us, especially the own edit of Florence The Machine - Jenny of Oldstone (Game of Thrones lyric). He got also the big support in the last months by a lot of Afterlife’s artist and not, like Kevin de Vries, Agents of Time, Mind Against, Artbat, Fideles, Mathame, Mind Against, Oostil, Lehar, Musumeci, Magit Cacoon, Soel, Erly Tepshi, Olivier Weiter, Cercle’s party and more.

Yubik is Based in Munich and conceptualized in 2018, the Yubik project has achieved measurable success in relatively short order. Initial releases courtesy of MoBlack and Stil Vor Talent set the course for well received projects via Atlant, Oddity and Radikon. Seemingly in constant evolution, the German artist‘s ingenious scope has continued to grow and mature as 2021 reaches its second quarter, opening up endless creative avenues and furthering his boundless appeal. With his latest Atlant vehicle ‚The Veil‘ getting the year underway in style and forthcoming music signed to Adana Twins‘ TAU imprint, Yubik continues his explorative path with his microcastle debut ‚Riot Romance‘.

On his musical journey Yubik has been travelling off the beaten path. Cabalistic and groovy at the same time, his raw, feral and most of all irresistibly danceable sound effortlessly crosses borders. Wether it‘s in the studio or in the club, he continues his trip by pushing limits/exploring new turf. This is only the beginning.

Our annual 'Reto' compilation returns with its fourth installment. 2021 has come and gone, and it's been another year of ups and downs, last-minute cancellations, beautiful glimmers of hope, and label firsts: our label showcases debuted across Europe, and we celebrated our first long-player release by a solo artist. Above all, this year has shown us that electronic music remains a labor of love for all of us, and producing the best music we are capable of is what brings us together – no matter the circumstances.

Reto IV is our second foray in 2022, a time to reminisce about the past year and showcase who we have become as artists. We feel it's our strongest yet with contributions by Alma, Arude & Tantum, Dahu, Foreign Guest, Guzy, Hollt, Naeiiv, SKALA, Vincent Vossen, Yubik, and Yuven. The Opposite Ways, Gabriele Bianchi and Gabriele Pavanati, are an Italian duo based in Milan. In 2017 to widen their knowledges in the field of the electronic music, they attend the Nut Academy in Naples where they find their sonorous imprint in the melodic house. The year later, in 2018, they begin in January releasing an ep on Three Hands Records, it follows the EP on Konfluenz Audio from Hamburg.

In the middle of the year they come back on Three Hands with “Nothing Is Lost” ep that includes a powerful remix by Modal. In August the single “Arrival” on Awen Records, later their first collaboration EP with the mexican duo Mihølnir, release on Us & Them Records, with this they’ve received massive support from great artist like Blancah, Amare, Paul Anthonee. Following two singles “Quantum” with Aree release on Obenmusik and “Scale Of Illusion” on AddictedMusic, Timelapse Label.
