Metz and Champ grew up together around Dallas, and became close friends as Juniors in high school. Metz played baseball at a small university and Champ attended Texas State before they decided to focus on making music together. Since then, THC has been spending hours in the studio working to get a debut single ready for release.

Human Cycle began their cultural and musical performance in the year 2004. The band is from the city of Gaia-Porto. Influenced by different styles of musical and cultural matrix, the members of the group found in the heart of the band, a balance between rock with a touch of soul (soul rock) and electronic rhythms. The first EP was recorded and mixed in the studios Indústria Rock, in Penafiel, with the Producer Rodolfo Cardoso and Paulo Pintado. The Second record was Produced by human cycle and mixed by Rodolfo Cardoso. The video Anankê (one shine sane) has already more than half a million views in youtube. The band signed in 2007 a contract with the biggest digital distributer in the world, the orchard. Lyrics are key elements in the life of the group, since the different social, cultural and philosophical realities in which we are living, are revealed through their texts. After many concerts in several stages trough Portugal in the years of 2006- 2007, the third record of the band will be released under the name "Lead the Way". Band members have jazz lessons with two of the best Jazz teachers in Portugal: Carlos Mendes (guitar) and Kiko (vocals). Os somma surgiram em 2011 juntando músicos dos human cycle e Oxygen, com uma grande vontade de criar a nível musical assim como na parte lírica, algo bem diferente na música contemporânea escrita na “língua de Camões”.

Quanto ao seu primeiro disco intitulado de "Onde escapam Medos e Segredos ...". Consequentemente todas as canções que fazem parte deste primeiro trabalho são escritas em Português, e as histórias em cada um dos temas tem sempre uma mensagem implícita, sendo os Poetas e Escritores Clássicos e Contemporâneos Nacionais, a sua grande fonte de inspiração no campo da escrita.

Na parte Musical os somma têm como principais influências o Rock alternativo internacional e nacional, assim como o Rock contemporâneo Lusitano e a música Eletrónica, tendo-se reunido neste tema específico com um dos grandes Produtores nacionais: Rodolfo Cardoso, que já trabalhou com Pedro Khima, Alberto Índio, Lullabye, Drive, 3 Angle, Per7ume, The Gift, Raul Marques e os Amigos da Salsa, entre outros projetos musicais.

O disco encontra-se desde já em distribuição internacional através de acordo firmado com a distruidora The Orchard.

No que diz respeito a participações especiais os somma contaram com a colaboração no tema “Brinde a um Dilema” do cantor Tozé Santos - vocalista dos Per7ume, Zeca Sempre, Blunder e Homem dos 7 Instrumentos. A cantora lírica Ana Barros também é uma das convidadas na música “ Partilha”, assim como nos coros deste tema e na “Última Missão” contam com a participação de Ana Macieira, Márcia Matos e Márcia Vasconcelos.

Relativamente ao trabalho Gráfico e à Ilustração presente neste disco, os Somma convidaram Rui Ricardo um dos melhores designers nacionais, que conta com trabalhos regulares com as maiores revistas e jornais nacionais (sábado, GQ, blitz, Jornal de notícias, entre muitos outros) assim como já possui parte da sua obra presente em espaços consagrados a nível internacional (The Times, Men's Fitness, Bloomberg, Unicef, entre muitos outros).

Como base e inspiração da ilustração teve a faixa número três do disco “Cinza Fénix”, onde retrata o sonho da personagem principal que é Voar e encontrar um local utópico onde tudo que se pensa para este Mundo se torna realidade, onde impera a Paz, Amor e Fraternidade entre os Povos. Desta música também foi retirado o nome do disco “Onde escapam Medos e Segredos …”.

Como resultado deste disco os Somma tiveram desde já um dos seus temas escolhido como Hino da prestigiada Instituição Financeira de Crédito, 100% Nacional, o Montepio Crédito.

Ao ouvir este disco os ouvintes preparam-se para entrar numa nova realidade musical e lírica.
